Wow... Very nice video angle. Pool tricks are way out of my league. Posted by Chumpchange0001 on January 12, 2006 at 19:56
that is absolutely freaking insane...i was going to post a vid of some of my spin shots but they would bow down to his. there comes a point where one has TOO much free time though. A big factor in spinning the cue ball, however, is the type of surface it is on. In that video, he is on a less-than-regulation-size pool table without a slate foundation. That is a much softer, furrier environment for the ball = more friction. more spin. with NORMAL pool, however, a slate table is almost necessary because that protects from erosion, slow destruction of the table. About the 4 ball shot (and his 10 ball version or whatever, i have no idea what he did). But for my 4 ball shot, it is very simple, and that video may be misleading. No spin is required for the cue ball. For most consistent results, have the cue ball coming from the outside a little. *Hit it hard, right at the center of the two middle balls. *Make sure the four balls are ALL touching to start and aimed in a line towards the pocket on the opposite side! VERY IMPORTANT Here: )OOOO ........O ) More to come soon. _Chump Edit- this is about an 8 out of 10 shot for me...2 out of ten times the cue ball will go in with the others, looks cool. you should still post your vids, it would help some of us out, and still would be better then what most people can do. p.s cheers for the tips on the trick Posted by Eric on March 24, 2006 at 05:07
I was looking around the Jennifer Barretta site tonight and I noticed that she talks about this 4 ball trick shot in the November 2005 Playboy article. If you don't have the magazine you can look at the pdf article, here is the link from the Jennifer Barretta site: http://www.jenniferbarretta.com/playboy_november2005.pdf
