Cue SticksI practiced some trick shots at Corner Pocket the other day and it became obvious that I need my own cue stick. My research will be documented here so that other folks can learn from it.
Both PokerNStuff and 5StarDeal have been around for a long time selling poker chips(you don't want to buy something on the internet from a company that isn't well established). Both companies also happen to sell cue sticks.
My Cue StickConsistency is important in pool. Choosing a different cue stick and the pool hall each time can throw off your game. My friend Art made me aware of this years ago but it was not until recently that I purchased my own cue stick.
Here is the cue stick that I purchased:
"THE MONARCH Pool Stick
This stylish cue is 58 inches long and weighs 20 ounces and is made of Hard Wood.
It is a 2 piece cue with Brass Joints to provide a precision fit to guarantee straightness over the length of the stick.
The design on this stick is very trendy yet conservative. The color is polished black with reflective gold/white designer patterns on the butt and the traditional arrows in the same design above the slip proof grip.
The tip of this cue is attached with a threaded brass screw insert for easy replacement and also for solid performance.
This stick comes with a high quality custom fit hard black case. The case is lined with soft cushion felt."
Now that I have this stick I'm hoping to have more consistency with my english. I'll be practicing quite a few shots where I curve the cue ball by applying english.
Fiberglass Cue Sticks5StarDeal has quite a few fiberglass cue sticks and they are all priced at around $50. Here is the description of the Professional Victory Fiberglass Cue Stick:
"Professional Victory Series Fiberglass & Graphite Cue: This stylish cue is 58 inches long and weighs 20 ounces. It is a 2 piece cue with Stainless Steel Joints to provide a precision fit to guarantee straightness over the length of the stick.
This Cue is made from Fiberglass and Graphite Composite and is Warp Resistant.
It features a black net pattern over a polished darl silver colored finish. It is very sharp looking! It also has a pre-conditioned finish so chalking up your hands won't be necessary, No Sticking!
This cue is our top of the line stick and is ideal for the player concerned with top quality performance.
