How many hours a day do you train? Jasmin Ouschan That depends in what phase we are. If there is no competition and we are in training-phase it is up to 4-5 hours a day at the table. But there are many other categories (as fitness, etc.) which have to be trained – so our table training is only one third of the complete training time. 21ace - Shadow 2. What kind of music do you like? Jasmin Ouschan Rīn B, Pop and Hip Hop 21ace - Shadow 3. You must spend a lot time travelling. What car do you have? Jasmin Ouschan Yes – that is part of our job. Last year my trainer and I spent over 35,000 miles in plane and over 20,000 miles by car. We drive an Audi A4 and if we need to be fast an Alfa Romeo 166 V6 24v. 21ace - Shadow 4. How do you spend your time on a typical day? Jasmin Ouschan Well, what is a typical day? If we are at tournaments the time schedule is given and if we are at our home base normally I start with fitness training in the morning. Then we have the first table training followed by other training categories. In the evening it is time to do the office work or meet friends etc.. 21ace 5. What was the hardest shot you had in route to winning the 2006 BCA 9 Ball Championship? Jasmin Ouschan I’m not sure – I think it was my break shot at the beginning of the tournament. 21ace 6. Who was the most difficult opponent you faced in route to winning the 2006 BCA 9 Ball Championship? Jasmin Ouschan Of course it was the final versus Allison Fisher. I lost the only match we played each other three years ago and Allison destroyed me in that match. She is great pool player and also a very impressive sportswoman. Her game is optimized and well known for a minimum of faults. Very good safety play and experience ad infinitum makes her to one of the best players in the world. 21ace 7. Winning the 2006 BCA 9 Ball Championship at age 20 is incredible, what are your career goals now? Jasmin Ouschan My goals have not changed after this success. I am still on my way trying to become one of the best players in the world and also to challenge the best male players in the world. 21ace 8. Do you think there should be more open tournaments that are not separated between men and women? Jasmin Ouschan Of course – Yes! 21ace 9. What is your favorite trick shot? Jasmin Ouschan Visit one of my shows and you will find it out! 21ace 10. How much time do you spend practicing trick shots? Jasmin Ouschan A lot because I always want to improve and update my show. 21ace 11. Favorite pool hall? favorite restaurant, favorite song, anything else you want to share with us?
