Las Vegas Choppers Poker Chips
I've never owned a motorcycle but we used to go to the different motorcycle shops when I was a kid. There is something about choppers that brings out the kid in all of us. We recently got HDTV and I've been spending more time on the channels that are HD. The Discovery Channel comes in HD and I love watching the Orange County Choppers show. It is cool seeing Jr and Sr battle it out as they make unique and different choppers. I don't know if they've seen this Las Vegas Choppers Poker Chip but I'll bet they would like it if they had.
Price Comparisons for Las Vegas Choppers Poker Chips
Coming in at $80 for 500 chips, these are relatively cheap. It averages out to about 16 cents per poker chip which is not bad. Unlike some of the crappy 11.5g composites, these have a good feel, they are not too smooth.
Las Vegas Choppers Poker Chips Appearance
If you're into choppers then these chips are for you. I like the way they turned out, the chopper logo looks good.
Las Vegas Choppers Poker Chips Quality
These chopper chips are 11.5g composites. 11.5g composites are fine for home games but casinos use chips that are of a higher quality.
One of my favorite shows on tv is American Chopper on the Discovery Channel. The way Paul Sr and Paul Jr go at it is very entertaining. Mikey is a character too...I don't understand why he wears shorts all the time even when it is freezing. Vinnie always seems to work hard.
American Chopper has done a lot to bring motorcycles into the main stream. For the 2006 Holiday Season the Harley Davidson poker chip sets were a big ticket item. The Las Vegas Chopper poker chips are quite popular too.
Here are some of my favorite episodes of American Chopper.
Episode 34: Davis Love Bike
Famed golfer Davis Love III is shocked when his wife enlists the Teutuls to build him a personalized chopper. Several awkward golf games later, the Teutuls are back in the shop, working at a frenzied pace to get the bike done on a very tight deadline. With the Buick Classic golf tournament only days away, will OCC's latest chopper creation make the precious deadline, or will Davis be riding his golf cart all the way home?
premiere: Aug. 2, 2004
The stereotype is that golfers aren't big chopper fans but Davis Love knew what he wanted in a bike and this was a great episode.
Episode 37: Police Bike 1
Under the gun to create a bike honoring the men and women of law enforcement, the guys pay a visit to the New York State Police Academy, where they learn firsthand just how tough training is when Keith ends up on the wrong side of the law. Then, when the crew gets back to the shop, the fights break out before fabrication even begins. With only six days to build their police tribute, the pressure is on.
premiere: Oct. 11, 2004
Episode 38: Police Bike 2
With delays beginning to pile up, the OCC crew gives up their holiday weekend in order to fix the bike in time for a benefit for New York police officers lost on 9/11. But will their hard work lead to disaster when they realize that the chopper's fender doesn't fit?
premiere: Oct. 18, 2004
The episode honoring law enforcement heros in US was very touching.
Episode 50: Gillette Bike 1
In search of ideas for their newest theme bike, OCC visits Gillette's headquarters in Boston. Then, back in the shop, the guys split their attention between production bikes and the Gillette Bike, while Senior takes some fabrication frustration out on Junior and Vinnie.
premiere: April 18, 2005
Episode 51: Gillette Bike 2
The guys complete the bike for Gillette, unveiling it at Boston's Prudential Center. Meanwhile, as an added bonus, Mikey babysits Vinnie's daughter, so Vinnie and his wife can have a much-needed night out.
premiere: April 25, 2005
I was amazed at how the American Chopper guys were able to match the colors of the Gilette Razor and incorporate everything into the bike design.
Episode 54: Military Bike 1
Junior and Senior join forces to build bikes that will be auctioned off, among other items, to benefit the families of U.S. troops seriously wounded or killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. To learn more about the two charities benefiting from the auction — the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and the Fisher House Foundation — OCC takes a field trip to the USS Intrepid, the scene of their Jet Bike unveiling so many years ago. Back at the shop, Senior has his mother's Cadillac restored to its original condition, surprising her with it, as father and son work through their rivalry and get started on their bikes.
premiere: Sept. 5, 2005
Episode 55: Military Bike 2
After a trip to the nuclear submarine USS Albuquerque for additional inspiration, Senior finishes his old-school chopper, and Junior, his more modern bike. Then it's off to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., to show the wounded troops their creations. Finally, as the auction draws near, OCC enlists the help of their celebrity friends, including Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, to obtain items to auction off and raise more money.
premiere: Sept. 12, 2005
The Military tribute was very inspirational.
Episode 58: Space Shuttle Tribute Bike 1
The OCC gets an out-of-this-world experience as they head to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, to get some inspiration for the NASA-themed bike that they will build. The bike will be a tribute to the space shuttle program and a memorial in honor of the two crews that were lost in space. While there, the guys get a tour of the facility, and go into a shuttle simulator. Once back in the shop, the stars aren't aligned as Junior and Senior argue about Junior's work ethic, and Mikey plays astronaut and launches some rockets of his own.
premiere: Oct. 3, 2005
Episode 59: Space Shuttle Tribute Bike 2
The guys of OCC take off to Cape Canaveral, Fla., to watch the launch of the space shuttle Discovery, seeking more ideas for the NASA-themed bike. Once back in the shop, Junior continues to work on the bike while Senior and Mikey build a model space shuttle together. After the bike is assembled, OCC heads back to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, to reveal the bike to NASA and the astronauts who returned home on Discovery.
premiere: Oct. 10, 2005
Nothing like combining the space shuttle and a bike.
Episode 73: Celebrity Build
OCC gets a special visit from the "Piano Man," Billy Joel, who asks the guys to build him a vintage Indian bobber motorcycle. To get more insight into their customer's needs, the Teutuls make a special visit to Billy's home and get a tour of his vintage motorcycle collection. But when the paint on the bike comes back the wrong color, the pressure is on to finish the bike in time for its reveal in front of 10,000 fans at a Billy Joel concert.
It was interesting watching Billy Joel talk with the guys. Billy Joel was picky about his motorcycles so when the guys brought the bike to his concert there was some suspense...
Episode 74: Wendy's Bike 1
The guys of OCC head to Wendy's headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, to do some research for their next build. Building a bike that will be auctioned off to benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, the crew gets to work on a bike unlike anything OCC has ever built before. An OCC first, the frame is built in-house, which proves to be a challenge for the guys. Junior and Senior butt heads when Junior uses his cell phone at the shop and leaves work for the other guys to do.
Episode 75: Wendy's Bike 2
The OCC crew continues working on their latest build, a bike for Wendy's to be auctioned off to benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. When the bike is sent to paint and powdercoat, the guys head to Hunter Mountain for some fun on the slopes. Once back in the shop, the crew works on finishing the bike in time to reveal it.
The Wendy's Bike was special because it went to a great cause. It was awesome watching Paul Sr, Paul Jr, Mikey and everyone else do what they could for the kids.
Episode 76: Sunoco Bike 1
OCC teams up with Sunoco and NASCAR driver Kyle Petty to build a bike that will benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp. The guys head down to North Carolina to meet Kyle Petty and to tour the camp. While there, they get the opportunity to hang out and spend time with some of the kids. After that, the Teutuls head to Lowe's Speedway where they take turns going around the track. Once back in the shop, they continue working on this latest chopper.
Episode 77: Sunoco Bike 2
OCC continues working on their latest build, a bike for Sunoco that will be auctioned off to benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp. When the bike is sent to paint and powdercoat, the guys head back to Lowe's Speedway and take turns going around the track.
The track scenes were impressive. One of these days I want to try out a speedway...
