Coin Tricks - Twirl |
|
Coin tricks are easy to learn once you decide to take
practice routines seriously.
Living in the US, I use quarters for many of the tricks.
They are a little bit smaller than poker chips
but many of the tricks are the same.

Coin Twirl StepsNote:The twirl trick can also be done with poker chips. Check our Poker Chips Twirl page for details.I do the twirl the same way whether using poker chips or large coins like US Quarters. The steps below are what work best for me. 1. Keep the coins near the tips of the fingers. Hold 3 Coins between the thumb and index finger with the outer Coin about half an inch from the finger tips. The inside Coin is about an inch from the finger tips. 2. Move the inside finger out of the way. This is done by putting the middle finger on the bottom of the inside Coin and putting the ring finger below the 3 Coins(about half a centimeter down). 3. Make the middle coin fall down. This is done by slowly loosening the grip on the 3 Coins with the thumb and index finger. Since the inside Coin is held in place with the middle finger and the outer Coin is held in place because it is closer to the finger tips, only the middle Coin should fall. 4. Now that the middle Coin is about half a centimeter below the outer and inner Coins, it is ready to be moved out. 5. Tighten the grip on the outer and inner Coins with the thumb and the index finger. 6. Move the ring finger directly under the thumb pressing against the middle Coin. 7. Move the middle Coin out and away from the outer and inner Coins by applying pressure with the ring finger and using the index finger as the pivot point. 8. Verify that the middle Coin is completely clear of the outer and inner Coins. 9. While holding the middle Coin between the ring finger and the index finger, rotate it 180 degrees by moving it with the middle finger, such that the middle finger moves towards the palm of the hand. 10. Get things back to normal. This is done by moving the middle Coin back into place by moving the ring finger and thumb towards each other using the index finger as the pivot point. The steps get easier and faster over time. |
