If someone does this in your home poker game then you could be in trouble!

You'd have to be severely retarded to need a tutorial video to teach you how to do that simplistic shuffle.

You'd be surprised at how many "severely retarded" people there are then.

Exactly Watching some people shuffling a deck can sometimes take a really looong time which in the worst case can change into helping to collect them from the ground...

You'd be surprised at the number of people who see Worm (Ed Norton's character) do this in Rounders but they don't know how to do it on their own.
Like many things in life it is very, very easy once you've learned it but many people need the tutorial to help get them goiong.

lol yeah seriously. I taught my friend how to overhand shuffle and at our next poker game it was his turn to deal so as he was about to shuffle the cards he said "Hey guys want to see a trick?" And he just started shuffling and everyones like what's the trick? And he said "I'm shuffling without looking at the deck!" and of course he dropped the cards right after saying that lol. Quite humorous, but I guess you had to be there...
Anyways there should have also been a clip or two on overhand stacking...not the method or anything but just a brief clip say showing 4 aces and then stacking them as a 4 of a kind using the erdnase system or a milk shuffle or whatever to show one of the possibilities.
Just my thoughts

Agreed, we plan on adding quite a few more card videos. The confusion around what music is allowed kind of held us up for awhile there. Now that we have the overhand shuffle tutorial in place we can add new videos that show what the overhand shuffle leads to...

I don't know, I have multiple videos of magicians teaching stacking and control sleights that have to do with that shuffle and all of them assume you know it, and thus don't bother to teach it.
Also, I live in a university, and I've noticed that people from Slavic countries all do this shuffle, while people from east and south Asia all do Hindu shuffle. It's kind of weird.

True that! But thoseI know who are from east and south Asia perform a slight variation of the Hindu shuffle, not the Hindu shuffle magicians do (which allows much more manipulation to be done obviously).

Hehe, I made a little clip of the hindu shuffle and the "south/east asian" hindu shuffle. At least I think it's what you're referring to, since I'm chinese, and thats how I was taught to "hindu" shuffle. I actually find it's more comfortable on the hands.
