3 Months |

i've been doing xcm for 3 months now, and i made a little montage of the things i learned. of course this is not everything i don't have to say much about this one, really :E, only that it took me a month or so (ironically) to shoot and edit it (i took a break), so quite a bit of what you see here (let's say the first half of the vid) was shot a month ago.
COMMENT & RATE ON YOUTUBE PLEASE!

(I don't expect positive reacions, really )
EDIT: It's still processing
EDIT 2: It's not processing anymore.

I think it looks cool . The cuts were maybe still a little bit scratchy but still good.

Not too bad for 3 months. Here's some constructive criticism:
Lots of cuts in this video looked the same. Some need a little more smoothness (that's what Shadow meant by "scratchy"). The vid was over 3 minutes long, and 90% of the moves were cuts. I would say shorten your vids or add some more variety to your arsenal (i.e. more armspreads, arials, fans, etc.).
Also, hope this doesn't sound like nit-picking, but you should probably find a different way to reveal the top card. Your way looks way too "novice", and we know you're not a novice.

well, it's always good to know what to improve. thanks for you constructive criticism
indeed, more variety in the cuts would be welcome, *<--- to myself*, i notice now... by the way, i noticed there are hardly any two-handed cuts, or sybils, in your videos... no criticism, but is it your skill (that you aren't that good with two hande cuts), or do you prefer aerials - misc. moves? or did i miss something

Kris prefers the more 'xcm' side of flourishing.
but his comment is still relevant.
mix up your cuts with fans (if nothing else). work on variety of styles of cuts.

its hard to give a rating because we dont have anything to rate it against.
to be fair, we cant compare you against someone whose been flourishing for years, and i forget where i was at 3months in.
the best advice i could give u is:
1) try to learn cuts that dont all look that same.... maybe look for different flourishers for tutorials.
2) try to learn some new ways to show the top card... there are plenty of far more attractive ways.
3) remember, a cut doesn't have to be false for it to be good.
4) finally, practice, practice, practice.... but you seem to be doing that atm, so keep it up.
good luck, and hope to see a new vid soon... (but only when new progress has been made)

Looks great man, really good stuff. May wanna work on the smoothness/distance of your card spring, but other than that, I think that it all looked ok to me. Most of the cuts were pretty smooth, especially for 3 months' work. After some more practice, you can start to increase speed/smoothness, things like that. Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing another video soon!
