 8th Card Flourish Contest |

Card Flourish Contest rules/conditions(subject to change):
DEADLINE 31st August, 2006 Midnight Pacific Standard Time
Judges: DeadPeopleAllOver, Shadow
Read the rules carefully!
1) One person - one video
2) The actual performance in the video can't be longer than 90 sec and the must be less than 5MBs(there is no size limit if you host the video yourself). The credits can exceed the time limit.
3) No glued cards
4) By submitting videos you are giving 21Ace.com permission to include them on the site(with credits of course). We will probably only put the best videos up on the site. By submitting documentation in the email, you are giving 21Ace.com permission to include it on the site.
5) You can send a video/link to the judges before the end of the contest however you can't make the video public. All videos will be made public the next day after the deadline by judges. For sending the videos you can use the vids@21ace.com email (send Shadow a pm if you are sending it via email - it might be lost in tons of spam...).
6) All persons who want to enter the contest must have posted at least 5 posts within the last 30 days before this announcement. As a bonus we have decided to give you a chance of entering even if you don't have the required amount of posts now. You still have some time to improve your post count. But the time is limited and we can stop it any day. Stopped on 08-10-2006 at 1 am Pacific Standard Time.
7) All persons who want to enter the contest must subscribe to our newsletter. You can do this even after this announcement.
Prizes(Subject to Change):
1 brick (= 12 decks) of Bicycle cards
1 white 21ace t-shirt
1 black 21ace t-shirt

haha yeah. It's going to be a difficult challenge...but that's what contests are all about.
This will be my first "big" video to show everyone where I'm at I guess and maybe while doing so I could pick up a top spot along with a prize. never know.
Plus I havn't been flourishing as long as the other competators who have been for years so this will be an awesome experience for me .

You can just click the profile button under every of your posts and then click find all posts... and there you can see the posts in chronologic order with a date in the above line. I've checked yours and you can enter.

The reason that rule excist is for people only coming here to steal prizes.
some people have great skill but no dedication what so ever. Since the annoucements are made randomly you have to be an active member to participate. This way we can more or less garantue a prize will go to someone we also think deserves it.
So if you do not like that rule blame your fellow XCMers from other forums wich joinend here only to compete.
Hope this clears some things up.

Why is there so much confusion about the 5 post rule? It's really not that hard to understand, nor should it be a surprise.
If you have 5 or more posts from July 8 - August 10, then you qualify. If not, you can't enter. Simple as that.
The last flourish contest had the same exact rules.

Again, this was explained in the last contest, and Sreen pretty much nailed it too.
Sorry, guys. It would be nice to have Daren, Dan, and the others to be in the contest as they are all very talented. But these have been the rules for quite some time now. If people posted and actually contributed something to 21ace (aside from trying to get free prizes) then there wouldn't be any problems.

I'm routing for marp too. He gets better in every contest so he will be a contender.
Personnally I think the 5 post thing in the last month is incredibly nice. It should be something like have at least 50 posts and 5 posts in the last month.

LOL, i dons even expect to get any prices, i only want to know what you think about my skill. Compared to marp and scott and sean I am a total noob. I dont even have a single DVD or Book about XCM, most my tricks are self-invented, so how should i steal prices???
But you are right, I understand why there is this rule. Maybe I should be a little more active in the board from now on...
