 8th Chip Trick Contest |

Chip Tricks Contest rules/conditions(subject to change):
DEADLINE 30 September, 2006 Midnight Pacific Standard Time
Judges: Shadow, Sreename
There are some new rules so read them carefully!
1) One person - one video
2) The actual performance in the video can't be longer than 90 sec. The credits can exceed the time limit.
3) No glued chips
4) By submitting videos you are giving 21Ace.com permission to include them on the site(with credits of course). By submitting documentation in the email, you are giving 21Ace.com permission to include it on the site.
5) You can send a video/link to the judges before the end of the contest however you can't make the video public. All videos will be made public the next day after the deadline by judges. For sending the videos you can use the vids@21ace.com email (send Shadow a pm if you are sending it via email).

Hi,
I am practicing chip tricks for 2 weeks now. I love it so much, I can't stop doing it! I would like to participate, even though I probably don't have any chance against TheEMan and these guys... Just to get experience and to have fun!
Is there a certain size or format required for the videos that I send to you?

Hi,
I'm glad that you have decided to join the forums and to participate in the contest. There is only given time limitation (90 secs) but try to keep the file size small. The format doesn't matter. Maybe you should try to avoid exotic codecs that nobody has...
I'm looking forward to see the video from you.

I'm gonna try to get a video in, but so far i've filmed 1 clip of it. I will get a video in even if it's sub-par probably.

With my current status of work and school and SAT courses I don't think I have enough time to enter in this one unfortunately. I'll be in for the next one though when my schedule clears up after SAT's.

Heck ya, I'm in!... I did go through some recent footage and chose some exciting things... Please note there are no standard twirls, standard finger flips, etc... and any that look normal in my vid, which you will see later, use an extra chip or I do the trick backwards, upsidedown fighting gravity or something unique. You're going to have to do frame by frame to catch some of the difficult variations:) hehe!
I hope you all enjoy it! I attached a list of all the moves and tricks in order from the vid so you can figure out what's what later. I am glad to be invited into the contest and look forward to seeing many, many entries!

Well, I have seen some small clips in the past that looked cool, however, the link you sent and ALL the links on the eman tricks list page do not work on my computer. I wish people would supply the codec, player, etc needed as there are hundreds now ... or just use something that both macs and non-macs use for sure.... Its crazy though, cuz file sizes can be soooo much smaller with certain compressions, but we need to know what they are...  Oh, well. I WILL be giving that chip master a run for his money. He seems like a cool cat, however, I gots game myself! I sent in a mp4 version of my vid so the qaulity should be great. Wish me luck! HA! r

for viewing vid all you need is VLC Player, this player eats every format on the market i think, all codecs are integrated in the player so you dont have to dload anything but the player.

We really need to get Rich's video in the matrix. Can anyone convert it into a avi, mpg or wmv that does not require extra plug-ins?
It looks like Rich can hook us up with dvds as prizes for the next chip contest so I think we should have another one sooner rather than later, especially if we can get more regulars like Scooter and Chipmaster to enter...

Hey guys, people who entered, voted and run this site... thanks for the hard work and supporting each other. I hope we can get tons of entries in the future too! Watching each of your vids was very fun. I hope that we all learned something and don't spend any time wasted talking about who doesnt do certain tricks good enough. We all have our specialties and I think the future vids are going to be pretty dang impressive. Ill take the "brick" of cards then since eman chose a shirt...
I wouth think between all of our talents and resources, we could gather some sweet stuff too... Like maybe a trophy, some poker goodies, etc... I've already offered something to Eric at 21ace for the next contest. It might be a little soon for me to get highly involved as xmas with my products, events planning, performing, booking, etc... is a little nuts. I will, however, try to come up with new and impressive material not from the DVDs and I really like the style of the one dvd where there were no cuts. Pretty sweet! Totally impressed with some of the things I've seen. out. rich
