Dude we just had a Chip Contest.
Now we will first have some other contests and then when it is the time Eric / Shadow will announce a new Contest, just be patient.

Normally we don't like to do the chip contests too close together but we might make an exception.
Rich has offered up some of his dvds as prizes so it would be cool if we could have another chip contest before Christmas.
Of course we want to make sure we have enough participants before we announce dates so let's use this thread as a measuring stick.
Everyone who is ready to participate in the next chip contest please post here. Thanks.

I should have time to enter if it's November or December.

I agree that there should be some time between the chip contests. I just would like the date of the next chip contest to be announced as early as possible to get my vid done in time. i would prefer a date in december or later.

So we have royalJBZ, TheEMan and Scooter so far? That's not bad...almost as many people as we had in the 8th contest.
What about Rich (ucPoker), Chipmaster, PwNeR69 and others?

Unfortunately I will not be doing anymore videos this year.
However, I can donate a prize for a competition.
I made myself a poker clock out of oak with countersunk poker chips for numbers and a royal flush woodburned in the middle.
A shabby description....I will post some pics up either tonight or tomorrow.
I can make a custom one for the winner.

I can do it, but just tell us if there is going to be one or not kinda soon. Then I can get a camera first.

Chipmaster, A custom chip clock will be an excellent prize addition...can't wait to see pictures.
I think we'll be able to do this soon, we just need 6 people to say they're down in this thread then we'll announce the dates.
royalJBZ, Please get your friend to post in this thread and say that he's interested.
Here's the 4 we have so far: royalJBZ, TheEMan, Scooter77, chip magnet

Here are some pics of the first one I made.
http://home.comcast.net/~lordhutt/poker2big.jpg
http://home.comcast.net/~lordhutt/Poker1.jpg
http://home.comcast.net/~lordhutt/Poker2.jpg
The clock is made from red oak hardwood. The edges are routed for an elegant look. The poker chips are countersunk to sit flush with the face of the clock. The picture of the royal flush is burned into the wood. After that the clock is covered with a special coating that is equivelant to about 100 coats of varnish.
The pics you see are of the first one I ever made and there are quite a few things I dont like about but vast improvements have been made.
The winner can have the option of using there own poker chips instead of the generic ones used in the pics.
The winner can also have the option of having more burning done, for example 'Eric's Casino' burned above the royal flush.
I was considering selling these on E-Bay a while back but a lack of time has slowed that option down a bit.
Let me know what you think of them and if you guys like it then I will make one for the contest.
later,
CM

Hi @ll,
like Royal JBZ said, I do want to participate, didn't know the next contest would be so soon. got major computer problems right now (windows down/no recovery cd) plus I got alot learning to do till Feb. Not sure if I can get a vid done till Dez. probably not. I'd be able to do one till March if you guys could wait that long.
Last but not least. I still suck in chip tricks but I'll do a vid so RoyalJBZ won't be last again (just kiddin bro, you'll win this time )

Chipmaster:
Wow, it looks really awesome . It's great that you want to donate clock like this as a prize. How much time did it take you to make them?
Asperitas:
Welcome to 21ace. Too bad to hear about your computer problems. Hopefully you'll be able to make a video when the next contest is up.

That is an incredibly nice looking clock chipmaster... I cleared a spot off my wall for it, don't worry....

Thanks for the comments guys.
Although like I mentioned....there are things about the one pictured that I was not happy about.
That also not the one I will give away....mainly because I am not happy with the quality of it.
The winner will get a brand new one and also have the option of customizing it.
You will have the option of sending me your own chips if you like and having custom wood burning (to a certain extent) done.
Hopefully we will see some more original flourishes again!
If anyone involves midgets and peanut butter in their routine they automatically win a clock.

So when will ne next contest be?
I have no problem with it if we wait some months in order to get some more participants. But I think we should anounce the date as early as possible so that everyone has enough time to create a styleful vid.
A contest with some more participants is more fun I think, isn't it?

I don't think we'll have to wait months. I'll compete in this one so that makes 5 of us. Hopefully we'll get a 6th person any day now and then we can announce the dates.
Here's the 5 we have so far: royalJBZ, TheEMan, Scooter77, chip magnet, Eric
Note: If I'm one of the winners then I'll pass on the prize so that it goes to the next person down.

Chip Tricks Contest... |
|
Hey all... I just got an email from Eric... To tell you the truth, I will not be able to do anything in December as I am traveling a lot for parties galore and am swamped with the new dvd Box Set Warner has put out. It just hit the market this week and it is a mad dash to get some of our existing buyers to get in time for this next few weeks of holiday madness.
I want to stay involved, so I'll look forward to the next one. Also, I will be happy to donate one of the Box sets to the Card Guys and/or Chip Guys. For you super serious knucklebusters with Chips and/or Cards, there will be only a few gems in there however, cuz these were made for the mainstream market... But they do have so many effects that there is likely something fun even for you. Time will tell, cant wait for some feedback. Cheers for now, r

Sorry I don't get around to checking these forums very much anymore. School and work are consuming the majority of my time so far this year. Plus I'm a counterstrike source addict on the side . In any case I'm afraid I'm a bit behind on the chip trick scene but I will still throw in a vid for fun . Guess it's time to start practicing again....
