A Historic Day For Me? |
|
I am a poker player on Full Tilt Poker under the screen name of SilentBobAK47. And for a few months now, I have started playing in tournaments and side games for play chips, often trying to build a bankroll in their daily freeroll tournaments. I often play in a 1000-2000 play money ring game of Hold 'Em and Omaha hi.
Was today a historic day for me? How did it happen? First, I decided on playing in a 2,500 PC Seven Card Stud tournament, a game I do not play often. Then, I get dealt 4-4-4 early on, overplayed it, made 4-4-4-10-10 on sixth street, then lose to a better full house! I was crippled at that point, but somehow, I managed to rebuild my stack from the ground up and I went to my first ever final table in Stud and at Full Tilt Poker! I ended up winning the tournament, which won me 45,900 PC.
At the same time, I had come through a field of 136 other players to make my second Full Tilt final table in the 10,000 PC NL Hold 'Em six handed table. After a hard fought battle, I finished in second place, winning me 266,400 PC.
Later, I played in a 500,000 PC buy-in $40.00 freeroll tournament. After being crippled with 20 players left when my Aces were cracked by Kings, I survived to finish in the money in 18th, winning me $2.00 in real money.
After that, I played in a third PC tournament, the 100,000 PC buy-in NL Hold 'Em event. I survived 32 others to make my third final table of the day! I ended up finishing in 5th, winning 369,000 PC.
Afterwards, I played in my first cash sit & go in Razz for $1+.25. After catching a few good hands, I would end up finishing with my first FTP cash of $2.40.
Lets look at stats..
Bankroll starting today: Nothing
Buy-ins to PC Tournaments: 112,500
PC won in Tournaments today: 568,880
Gain: +568,800 PC
Money won today: $4.40
Final Tables today: 3
Tournaments won today: 1
So, do you think that, for me, today was a historical one?

Well, regardless how insignificant it may seem to some, if it did happen to you, it is authentically historical.
FTPs mixed games are a shit load of fun. Didn't know they had play chip freerolls. Good job.

Yeah, i'm going to have to go with cardcontroller on this one.
Simply because i've seen a miracle before, I had 10 dollars, and in one day raised it to well over 500 dollars.
That is historical.

Now that I am fresh, awake, and sober I may have overreacted a little bit. It's just I was in a mood after accomplishing all of that.
$10-$500 chip magnet? Well, I doubt that I can top it, but I'll see where I can go with the $4.40 I won yesterday,

Yeah, to get that amount i played in a 3 dollar tourney that had around 300 people and ended up getting second. That payed about 300 dollars and the rest i got at 1-2 dollar table.

One quick note, the next day I made it back to the same Stud final table, only to finish 8th
