A trick Ninja |
|
When he does the trickhe takes the top card. Flips it over, puts it in the middle then does a little dribble and makes it come to the top what is the name of that trick. I thought i seen a video on here with someone doing it. And do i have to buy that video or is there a book i can buy that has it in there.

Could be done countless ways, but overall its a part of the Ambitious Card trick, that can be found in many different sources.

You can find a basic form of that trick in Royal Road to Card Magic and probably several other books, if you did your research.
In terms of DVDs, Ellusionist sells a specialist ambitious card dvd called: "Crash Course 2: Ambitious card," this dvd was extremely helpful and worth every penny. Ellusionist also sells a dvd called, Ninja 2 which includes the ambitious card, plus many more tricks and sleights. Although, the ambitious card is taught alot better and with far more variations in "Crash course 2" in my opinion.

@midget drummer: you could be a sales man for E!
Could be a dribble pass, merlin tip over or the swingset control to name a few possibilities (search up these words ) There are many different methods of controling a card to the top in this way. Midget drummer suggested ninja, you can learn a way of doing it there, however it is not the best method there is.

That wasn't necessary...he's just recommending products. Most newbie magicians like this guy are too lazy for books or don't want to put the time in. They'd prefer just to learn from DVDs...which Ellusionst has created some basic ones that will work well. Daryl's Ambitious Card DVDs are as good or better than E, but its like an 8 DVD set and someone new like this guy probably doesn't want to buy all those before learning and little and see if magic is something he wants to get into.

Lol...care to share what the BEST way is? (Theres really no best way to do anything in magic because it differs from audience to audience)

I was joking man, we go to school together, Its cool. you need to stop aggravating situations and making mountains out of molehills.
And as for your second point ('care to share what the best way is...'), that would be exposure, which as a moderator im sure you know is not allowed.

Trying to learn what exactly. We have told you that there are various methods of achieving that effect, and have given you the names of these mathods. As exposure is forbidden, there is nothing more to learn.
Good night.

Woah, this sucks...I just spent 20 + minutes on a long-ass post, and it didn't get posted! Well...I hope I didn't say anything offensive! I apologize if I did, it was not my intention...I was merely offering up some helpful advice as one beginner to another. I don't know. I'm not going to attempt to re-type the post.
In essence, my post stated that the Royal Road to Card Magic has been a major help with my routines, and I've only been doing magic for about a month now. (give or take). Anyway, the ACRs are great, I've had some really cool responses from them. I would HIGHLY recommend that book, if you really want to get into magic. If all you want to do is learn this one trick, buy the Crash Course 2: Ambitious Card DVD from E as previously suggested. But RRTCM was amazing, and I still can't put it down. 5/5 for that one, mate. (*that's for you fatty.*)
Wish my other damn post hadn't been deleted...

Well, hell..I now see why my post might have been removed, as it was totally and completely pointless, since he said he already had RRTCM. Well, good luck nevertheless, my friend.
