I play blackjack and am in the proccess of learneing the red seven count. I was wondering what betting systems are used here. I was thinking of learning 1/4 or half kelly betting but anyone else have other systems they use? I am looking for betting systems that are correlated with the count[/i]

First off, congratulations on learning the red-7 count. However, you should already know that betting systems do not work. The size of your bet should be dictated by the count. There is no way to overcome a negative expectation game by using a betting system alone. For example, if the house advantage is 1/2% (for a perfect basic strategy player), this is the expected loss per round regardless of your bet. Actually, the more you bet, the more you will lose. But by utilizing a count system, adjusting your bet accordingly, and varying you play decisions based on the count, you can obtain approximately a 1/2% advantage in the long run. If you are considering any kind of betting system, then you obviously don't understand the basic concept of card counting how to overcome the odds. Bet small when the count is negative to neutral and bet big at the pivot point nd above. Adjust your basic strategy as the count fluctuates.
