Bicycle playing cards??? |
|
I just bought a new pack of Bicycle playing cards from a local dollar store, there extremly slippery and I think they might have been waxed or something to make them more slippery but I'm trying to practice a card switch in which the cards can't be slippery and im wondering if theres a way to make them less slippery??
Thank you, oh btw Hi, its my first post .

lol they are SUPPOSED to be slippery they are good for flourishes..now if you wanted the to be less sticky go outside when it is hot and humid out and they will get sticky for sure, dotn wash your hands before using them...that should do it

What change are you trying to do that requires sticky cards?

I figured this would happen however, I don't want the cards to be SUPER sticky, I just want them less slippery, the slip does help, but there just way too slippery however if they were still slippery just less slippery it might do the trick, so is there anyway to do this? Oh and please no criticism im just asking a simple question

You have to break the deck in.
Do this by shuffle, specifically riffle, then waterfall (or bridge)
Use any method that would have the cards slide against each other, so a pressure fan, or a spring.
And if you can't do any of that (not even the shuffle), then just keep using them over and over doing different things. Eventually, the cards will become less slippery.

I can do a bridge and a few other shuffles. I'll see how it works, roughly if im using em a few hours a day shuffling and such how many days do you think for em to be less slippery? A few? 3 or 4? Or long range, week two weeks?

I Can figure you need too have "less slippery" cards with an Erdanase Color Change (for instance there are more tricks I can come up with) I agree you just have to use them alot and within a day of 3 they will be more like you want them.

water fall/ bridge the cards a bajillion times, and your cards will not only be less slippery, they will be bent too. have fun! haha just joking. cards that are slippery won't be after a few shuffles.....supposably. i like the slippery feeling. if i had the money, everytime a deck was starting to be non slippery, id dish it and get a new one....but i don't have the money, so im stuck with slippery bent cards
