Hey has anyone else seen Brian Tudors Generation Extreme yet.
Not generation X (which was the worst lit, worst taught XCM/magic video ever' but the penguin magic remake with 3 camera angles and decent explanations.
I got a review copy from a friend of a friend of a family member and it RULES. bRian tudor is sick if you want to check out a preview you can download the video
HERE (right click, save as...
I'd like to know what everyone else thinks.ANd is it XCM or Magic? I love it he fuses XCM and magic really well in my humble opinion and i'm glad he got the showcase he deserves to teach this amazing art.(However i hope he does credit the right people this time!!!

I just watched the preview video so I can't really comment on the actual content, but from what I saw he combines both. Personally, while technically the material seemed impressive, I didn't really like it because I felt it lacked clarity. Often you were sitting there going "what? what just happened? do that again more slowly". Basically the worry is that that pace and handling leaves the spectator uncertain of what just occurred and thus takes away from the feeling of magic. Yeah, it's impressive from a sleight of hand perspective, but in my view it's not as impressive as say the flourish skills of De'vo, which again possess clarity, or the card magic of a great magician. Darwin Ortiz talks about the importance of clarity in his book "Strong Magic" I believe, for those interested in referring to it.

Generally I'd agree with you.... |
|
That Mr Tudor is in fact one of the worst techers in the world accompanied by one of the worst quality videos in the world.
But thats why I asked if anyone else had seen Generation Extreme. It was made by penguin magic and has a good production value. not quite that of Ellusionist i have to say but good all the same.
I'm not sure if its out cos i have a review copy but it is excellent!
Its still taking a loooooooot of practice but now you know what you're supposed to be practicing!

if by xcm you mean Flourishing then I vote both.
He has amazing talent...to bad he can't teach on his overpriced DVD's.

A touch unfair |

Granted some of Brian's videos are hard to follow but thats why i mentioned this one. Its very well explained and lit andhe slows down a lot. This material is still really reall y hard but now at least you can understand what he is doing!

magic is a great art and I know all agree with me. Now, Magic has come and gone in fashion. For instance, the magic show for much of the 20th Century was marginalized in North America as largely children's entertainment. But, I see besides of children all like to see magic show and this type of programs.

Well people, do you think David Blaine is crazy for doing all of those dangerous stunts? We all know (or should know) that David Blaine is basically a man of mystery. He has to be the best at everything he does. Do you think has crazy for risking his life so many times, just for adoration from millions of people? I want to know your opinion. Thanking you, have a nice day.
