Buying high quality poker chips |
|
Ok so I've been playing poker and doing chip tricks for a couple of years now and have decided that my basic set of chips isn't going to cut it going foward. So I looked around and found the turf club chips and thought they were ideal for me (unfortunatley no one makes them anymore or has enough of old stock left). I had a couple of questions and statements that hopefully people can help me with.
1. If I'm not going to go for paulsons is there another set of chips out there similar to the turf clubs, that will feel/play be very similar to paulsons but that aren't the same price.
2. If I was going to buy some paulsons or the high quality chips (probably 300-500) of them where is the best place to buy them or is there a site atm that has a particularly good deal going atm.
3. I've looked around, I live in Australia and I can't find any sites in Aus or close to it geographically that chips because atm the shipping is almost as much as buying the chips would be.
4. Does anyone on this forum have a set of paulsons or high quality chips that maybe they have upgraded from or wanted to sell for whatever reason, even if you are in another country the shipping + cost of chips would probably be equal to buying them new (without shipping costs) if that made sense, so I'd be interested in anyone had any high quality chips they were thinking of selling especially if they were the turf club chips.
Thanks in advance for anyones help with this.

maybe palm imports clays, but I'm not sure about their quality, only heard that they compare to Paulson whil being a lot cheaper.

That's the cheapest Paulson seller I know of. I bought several hundred chips last year, I would recommend it.

I own several new sets (Paulson and blue chip) which I'd be willing to sell, but I think you would get them cheaper at the shop mentioned above, since US$ << Euro at the moment

Thanks alot for that. Yeh the shipping tip is a good one, cheers for that. Yeh on ebay ive found some about the same price as that, eg around $110 for 100 chips. I also found 500 for $350 second hand but they werent that clean by the sounds of it and in that good a condition.
The palm imports I have heard mixed reports about, something along the lines of good edge spots but the feel and sound is off.
Yeh Euro>> $AUD atm. Yeh but as I said before if anyone does have a set they want to sell because I know alot of times people may get say 300 paulsons then after a while upgrade to a set of 500-1000 custom paulsons(their dream chip set) and have no real use for the old paulsons even though they are still quality.
