can anyone explain? |
|
Hy,
I'm doing pool trick shot shows and i want to add a little magic to it. I already done cups and balls, but that has little to do with pool. For my next show i want something different. Can anyone explain how this is done http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qf66lI0G6A ? I promise not to reveal the secret to the world. Thanks, i would really appreciate it if someone could help

You'll need to get hold of a Brainwave deck. The rest you can figure out for yourself.
Please don't ask for any more information, as I've given you too much already. You caught me in a receptive mood...
There are better ways to do this, though.
Take care, Ian

Thanks for that with me. As i said before I am a trick shot artist, but i also liked magic tricks too and now i'm interested in adding that to my shows. I can do a lot of things with my cue, but my fingers are kinda slow I can do simple stuff like false shuffle, cuts, double lifts, but not smooth enough. What do u suggest buying from those "instant download" sections on emagil or other stores? Cause i live in romania and delivery would last up to 2 weeks. i'm interested in stuff u cant find for free on youtube or smth like that. Thanks

Honestly? Nothing. Seriously.
Spend a year or so getting comfortable with a deck, and then you can reevaluate where you are. If you try to do magic before you are able it will look bad, and that will detract from your trick shots.
The biggest mistake people make when they are starting out is to believe that anything can be 'self working'. With the advent of the interweb it has become all too easy to get information that is beyond your level. For an example, it would be like me spending several thousand pounds on a top of the range pool cue when I play perhaps twice a year.
If you take your time the end result will be much better.
Take care, Ian

i totally agree, i'm just looking for a starting point. i made the same mistake with pool years ago. I just want to get past the beginner level, nothing too fancy, i leave the fancy work to the cue for now. So if u can tell me where to start i promise not to go right out and try difficult stuff. I'm already in "showbizz" and i am aware of that mistake. thanks

i mean, spending a year with no direction seems to be a waste of time. I think its just like pool, u have to spend the practice time wisely, not just bang the balls around.

Instant downloads aren't very good for learning. I would recommend you to get a decent book or DVD series and try to build the magic step by step. It is hard to give advice because I don't know what exactly you can do and how. If you are saying that you can do something but not smooth enough then concentrate on what you can do and try to improve it. Then you can find some use for that (double lift can be used in many tricks).
And don't worry about the delivery times. I would rather spend 2 months waiting for a good resource than to buy something bad instantly.
