 Cell Phone -> Computer Problem |

Hey everyone.
I'm presuming a lot of you own cell phones, so I was wondering if maybe you guys knew how to solve this problem I'm having.
I recently purchased an mp3 cell phone. It came with a USB 2.0 cable so that I could connect it to my computer and put some songs on it or whatnot. Therefore, I connected it to my computer and an error came up saying something like it couldn't read it or something like that. So I unplugged it, and plugged it back in, but now everytime I connect it absolutely nothing comes up! Is there anyway I can maybe force start it or something? I'm not too good with computers as you can tell.
In case you were wondering, I have Windows XP Home and the phone is a Samsung SPH-M500.
Thanks for any assistance. I tried the technical support place but their closed the next 2 days I think

Any time you introduce a new piece of equipment to your computer, many times windows xp will automatically recognize it, but sometimes (like in this case), it won't.
Your phone and your usb cable "should've" came with a cd, but it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't. I actually bought an mp3 phone the other day, and I have to go back to Verizon and get the usb cable because they don't fu*king include it with the phone already. What a damn ripoff.
Anyway, download the driver for your phone here:
http://samsungwireless.com/a900download
It'll say it's for the Samsung a900, but it'll also work with your phone too. Click on the link and follow the installation instructions. Let me know if you still have problems after that.

Wow Dead, you are the man.
I just called my phone company thing and they couldn't do crap for me, but one of the guys who was in charge of internet connections also had a samsung phone and he told me I had to go to the samsung website to download a driver. However, there was no driver for the m500 
But yeah the driver for the a900 worked! Thanks a lot man. Do you have any idea why that one works? My phone is a new model and there probably isn't a driver for it yet or something along those lines.
