Yes, all 8 volumes are well worth having, this is probably the best dvd set for card magic out there, definitely pick it up.

I have vol. 8. It's decent, but there are other dvd's out there that might be better - like the Ninja series.
But again, still worth the cash.

Are you joking? Encyclopedia of Card Sleights is way better than that crap that Ellusionist puts out. How could you even compare the two?

Pretty easy, really. Brad is a much better teacher. Ninja definitely doesn't have the cheesy theme music that Daryl's vids have. And I think that Brad's videos are much better for beginners. They both contain a lot of sleights, so in that aspect they are pretty even.
Again, I only have volume 8 of Daryl's and it IS very good. Just thought that Brad's vids are better as a whole. Just my opinion.

Heh, Content wise Daryl's videos are amazing. I have the Ninja series already. I'm looking for material that takes time to learn and perfect but is more hidden than all the new up coming street magic. As well as magic I'm starting to like flourishes so I want to build my sleight of hand skill up with great magicians that I am found of like Marlo, Daryl, Mcbride, and Paul Harris to form a mixture and create my own routine in a few years down the road. I'm one of those perfectionists so I need to see every piece of material I can before I find what I like .

as far as Ellusionist and Brad they have definitley been holding back on their videos but brad is definitley a cool person and i agree that E vids are for more beginner type people
daryl's encyclopeodia teaches way more sleights than the of the dvd's probably teaches more than 2 of the ninja series combined
if your intermediate in the sleight of hand id suggest you start off with volume 4 then work your way up because by the looks of volumes 1-3 it seems VERY basic but covers alot
PS im looken for a very advanced sleight of hand book and or dvd
i was looking along the lines of Guy hollingworth Drawing room deceptions or ernest earick by forces unseen any suggestions??? i also wanna learn alot of marlo's stuff, is there any book or dvd that teaches mostly his moves

I have yet to purchase it but Ive heard Revolutionary Card Technique by Ed Marlo is an all time great book for card magic, as well as, The Cardician (Book and DVD). RCT by Marlo has a lot of stuff about dealing, one of the things he was flawless with. Other than marlo's stuff I'm not sure what sleight of hand you are interested in. I don't think I know enough about "advanced" sleight of hand yet.

I'm assuming you were talking about me. I guess it was way too much trouble to address me by name. Anyway, here's four reasons I bought volume 8 only:
1.) I didn't have the money to buy all 8 at one time, so I wanted to buy one DVD and see if the rest of the series was worth buying.
2.) I knew that volume 8 showed a tutorial on the hot shot cut, which is why I wanted the DVD in the first place (in addition to the great card sleights).
3.) I bought the DVD from Superhandz because I was buying other DVD's from them at the same.
4.)Superhandz (the site i purchased the DVD from) didn't have any other volumes for sale other than volume 8.

These are dvd's... How much do they cost? (the total serie 1- and how much tricks do you learn with them? I mean, isn't a book much better? Because it includes much more tricks....

I have volumes 1 to 8 of Daryl's encyclopedia and the Ninja DVDs.
No comparison for me. Daryl's is far superior. I think he's a great teacher, and the amount of sleights in the entire series will keep most people busy for years. I've had mine two years; I go back to it all the time.
I've had the Ninja DVDs a year and haven't gone back to them more than a couple of times.
<<I mean, isn't a book much better? Because it includes much more tricks>>
That's not really a fair comment. The encyclopedia of card sleights is just that - an encyclopedia of card sleights. You'll need other sources that teach the application of what's taught in the series. (There are a handful of tricks taught though, but none of them are that strong.)
One final thing about the Ninja DVDs: Doesn't anyone else think it's absurd to teach a routine that exposes one of the fundamental sleights in card magic? Obviously I'm talking about the pass, and how Brad incorporates its exposure into the main routine taught in the Ninja series.
How about we devise a routine that also exposes the double lift, the elmsley count, the biddle move? Let's get 'em all out there in the open. We've deceived the people for far too long.

All dvd's from Daryl are great to own.
Just be sure what you're looking for. I can imagine that ropes are not the thing you want.
Revelations is very good
Encyclopedia is very good
Ambitious card routine is very good
Three card monte is wonderful
Fooler doolers , again, very good.
You can't go wrong with Daryl.
This is in most cases the same with:
Michael Ammar
Dai vernon
Ed Marlo
Roberto Giobbi
Fred Kaps
Darwin Oritz
Steve Forte
Tony Slydini
The books/dvd's from these people are just wonderful.
