 Devil Sticks anyone? |

A friend of mine and I used to play with these things and kinda have competitions between each other with different moves n combos.
They were a shit load of fun. I wish I could find a set.

That's a pretty nice vid. besides of my chip addiction I'm a little into penspinning.
I think it's related to each other.

That's a pretty nice vid. besides of my chip addiction I'm a little into penspinning.
I think it's related to each other. |
They're all kinda related. Card flourishes, chips flourishes, coin flourishes, pen tricks, devil stick tricks, skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, surfing, boogieboarding, water skiing, hackey sacking, juggling, bmx biking....
Heck if you can do 'tricks', it's a challenge and it is slightly amusing it's related to penspinning.

speaking of tricks.
I had to watch this over and over again. looks impossible. Note that he's doing the trick at a party on the second try. It's not that he filmed a thousand attempts untill it worked.

How about handwriting and/or drawing? XD I get poked fun at by people when they see my notes while pen spinning in class. "You can do that but why does your penmanship suck?"
Someone please make a penspinning video that'll become so famous so you can redefine the word "Penmanship".. T_T
Maybe a "Fusion 2" video coming up? Diffusion? (sorry just came from a Chemistry exam)

I agree. I'm going snowboarding tomorrow for the 6th time this season(I have a season pass). I'd love to add snowboarding tricks to the site but I'm not sure where to start. Another trick that I think is cool is flair bartending but I'm not sure if we should add that to the site because it might send the wrong message to all the young people in the community.
What should we do in 2007 to keep the forums interesting? Which of these related tricks should we add to the forums? How should we improve the trick forums that we already have in place?

I'd be in for the flair bartending.
You could add yoyo, contact juggling and astrojaxx to this forum too.
But there's a long list of related arts.
I'd say we wait how that penspinning thing developes before you start with new sections.
Don't we have one section for related sports. post your flair bartending, snowboard,... vids there. If it turns out that there are others interested you can think about starting a seperate section and advertise it on other sites.
I'd welcome a page where communitys like this would be linked. I was never into pool tricks before I came here. I totally apreciate it that this site got me started on this awesome hobby.

There are lots of things we could add to the forum, however, it's opening doors for less relevant things to be included. By making a sports section, it could easily increase traffic, but it's taking away from the "Parlor games and tricks" theme that makes this site unique.
Things like pen spinning and devil sticks are neat however, I don't believe either need to have their own category on the forum. It could all (sports, pen spinning, flair bar tending etc.) be categorized in an "other tricks" section.
Just my two cents.

I read somewhere that you needed vids of some basic moves.. cant remember where i saw it, therfore i made a new topic (i thought... lol!!! read edit at bottom).. but just tell me what you need and ill see if i can make it  (can do some advanced moves too)..
