Does any of you have any good site with poker strategy? |
|
Hey to all other players,
I started playing poker just recently. I never understood the attraction of the game - but now I will do!!! At the moment I am only playing with friends but I want to try online poker soon.
However, I have the feeling that I still have to learn a lot and therefore I am reading a lot in different forums and so on.
What I can not get find was a homepage that has really concise poker tips (e.g what to play with which hand), because it takes a loooot of time to look that up in forums. I googled but only ended up with pages like this for example called spam, but it is NOT what I am looking more. It is just a collection of articles but I can't take a lot of information out of them. There are loads of websites like that out there.
Does any of you have any recommendation concerning a good website with poker tips??
I would be happy about any suggestion.
Thanks,

Poker Tips can be found there. But if u just started playing poker and never read a book you should start reading poker books.

Also, just play. The more you play the better you get and the more you learn. One of the first things I personally recommend is learning about pot odds though. This will help you learn about making smart decisions in certain situations, especially after the flop.
But, if you ever have any questions or need any help. How to play, what to play in certain situations, picking up tells and using them to your advantage, or anything. Feel free to ask me, I don't want to sound conceeded or anything, but I do know a thing or two about poker.

a good intro book never hurts... limit i'd say SSHE (Small Stakes Hold'em), basically limit bible for beginners... though a lot of the concepts i think are starting to get out dated a bit, but it will get you on the right track... especially at micro levels...
as from No Limit i have heard the Harrington on hold'em books are amazing...
ohh, when i first started out i simply pulled up a bunch of games (real money) and watched them for a few hours you kinda figure out what's going on based upon that but i primarily did it to practice reading hand ranges online...
