Ellusionist BLACK Ghost Deck |
|
I was just surfing the web a found this new deck created by Ellusionist it's called the BLACK Ghost deck. It's basically a reversed Ghost Deck. Looks quite cool. Check it out at
http://www.Ellusionist.com/Christmas-Contest-2005.php
However there is a catch: in order to get it you must spend at least $350 there, this is around £203, in order to get it. However there are other cool prizes on offer, check out the website above for details.

lol. My parents will never let me spend £203 on card flourish/magic divds. I would never spend that much at once anyway cant afford it. You never know though, that deck might be on ebay in a couple of months.

I agree. There will be demand for them to be on sale in which you don't have to spend $350 to get them. I think we'll have to wait though.

it is nice and everything but it just look like the balck tigers to me. i know the ace is different and the only bits of red are on the index but its not that different or exciting.
Whenever i bust out a coloured deck for magic people think its a trick deck. i prefer standard red and blue bikes or maybe the green or balcks if i fancy a change.
I think i'll stick with my vipers for the moment.

also it has a good hard case....but...i agree with you totally jonjo about the trick decks esspecally when yuu have a very difficult croud and they grab the cards out of yer hands and insist that they shuffell the deck every second and keep wanting to change the card which they chose because they think youve seen it....and you dont even do that in the trick this happend to me yesterday .......

i hate it wen they pick a card and u know what it is because youve false shuffled and false cut then glimpsed it so theres no way u can be wrong. u then proceed with a spelling trick or another revalation and they say, thats not my card! and the worst thing about it is that you know thats what they picked but cant tell them how u know, cus then u have to reveal the trick to them!

That's why whenever you perform card magic for difficult people, you should always ask the spectator what his/her card was FIRST. Then, after they have named their card, THEN you want to reveal their card.

Yeah thats why i only preform to my geriatrics at my work. they are amazed and dont have a clue on what the hell is going on. =)
they are a very good crowd. and the best thing is that i can do the same trick over and over the next night cause most of them wont rember.
(does this make me a bad person)

It's just a marketing scheme to make some money, that deck will be for sale on Ellusionist right after the holidays ( I am sure of that ).

Well, since Penguin's promo sucks ass this year, I'll probably buy most of my stuff from E since they have some of the same things.
Even if I do end up spending $350, I still won't use those ridiculous looking decks. I'll probably use the deck as a coffee coaster or something....

Why would they not ever release them? I doubt that they only made a few of them for this promo, it would not make any sense to do that.

Why not? The cards look great. They would be stupid not to sell them. Ellusionist could create a deck with a picture of a turd on it, and they'd still sell thousands of decks. Right now they're just hyping up the black ghosts with that ridiculous promo deal - so I have no doubt they will go on sale after the holidays.

Me too. This would look good next to my "Jerry's Nuggets" coffee coasters.
J/F with ya.
