 ericyow.com FORUM - Promotional Video Sign Up List |

Mr. Massacre (Peppi) has agreed to do a promotional video for us to use on Youtube and other sites to promote the ericyow.com Pool Forum. He has done great work for me in the past and said it would be an honor to do this for us. Let's compile a list of all of the forum members who want to participate. As you add your name, I will update the list to be used.
So far on the list is:

If you want your name to be added to the list, post up.
As for the shots to be submitted, here's a list of the shots. Post up in a reply which shots you want to shoot for the video. Pick up to 5 total, including at least one of your own shots. Don't pick more than 2 in one discipline. Leave plenty of room for others to choose shots they're good at too. I welcome you to shoot the hard shots if you can/want to, but pick some of varying degrees of difficulty. If you want to pick a certain shot, reply by discipline and shot number (e.g. 1:5, for discipline one shot five) and if it's one of your own, name it. After several replies are up, I'll repost the list with names filled in so you have a better idea of who's shooting what. Then, when we've got it all together, I'll give you Peppi's email address and you will send him your individual clips of making that shot. When filming, pay particular attention to lighting and background display. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT have anything in the background that promotes alcohol or tobacco products, or anything of the sort. This will be family-friendly. I'm sure you'll agree. Thanks.

Awsome if its cool from
1-po 1 playoff shot number 2 ( 92 degree cut shot)
4-po 1 playoff shot number 1 ( with two blocking balls if thats ok)
7-po 2 playoff shot 2
8-3 shot number 3 ( machine gun masse)
for my extra i would like to shoot a draw shot that i saw Sal Conti do on this years trick shot magic, or if not i would want to do the famous coke bottle shot . any objections just let me know.

Please, do NOT cut and paste. Simply state the shots you want to shoot, as in the following example:
Shots 5-1, 8-po1, and my own creation "crazy awesome shot".
After many post up, I'll go through and make a list so we can fill in the gaps.

Gabi!!! Good to see you my friend. I've got a picture of us from Russia you might want. I'll try and send it to you.
If you have the video clips in a format that can be sent to me, post up here which shots they are and send them to me.
Everyone:
I've decided as a practical matter it would be best for you all to send ME the videos as you have them filmed. I'll compile them all together and send them to our editor friend once we have every last one of them. That way all he will have to do is the editing, not the procedural stuff.

Let's put a deadline on the signup and shot submission of Feb 15th. Will that give you guys enough time? If we let it drag on, it probably won't get done.

I guess we whould do a "first come first serve" basis on this. So, when you get your clips done, email them to me (yow@ericyow.com) and when I get them, I'll review them and post up who has which shots.
Ppooler has already sent me five, so the following are taken:
3-4; 4-4; 4-5; 15 in 1 version one; 15 in 1 version two
Keep them coming!
I think we have room to do 6 shots per participant. Let's have 'em!
As a practical matter, try your best to get the most effective film angle possible. Try to get in the shot; put your face on camera. Look nice, dress well, smile, pay attention to lighting, etc. Don't worry about the sound as it'll be put to music. If you scratch, you might shoot it over. If it went too fast, you might shoot it softer. Make the shots look as good as possible. Remember, you're only filming 5 or 6 for this so take your time and do the BEST you can do.
Also, if you can send them to me in WMV format, that would work best. I can use AVI and MPEG too, but I like WMV better. I CANNOT use .mov, quicktime, or anything apple.  If that's all you have, you can get a converter off of the internet if you search for one. Convert it, then send it to me. Thanks Ppooler for getting this project started! Now do one of the masse shots and send it to me!

Hi everybody !Of course, you guess good T-buzz, yes i want to be on this vid for sure it must be amazing!!!BUT the problem is that this time im so far away from my house and pool,and i don’t go back to home before the 15 february,so I can’t film exactly what Eric wants but i have some clips, which are interessant,
I take
2-4 ( problem: ive don’t film my face but the light and the cam angle is nice!)
3 playoff shot1
4 playoff shot 2 ( problem: ive got one ball more and we don’t see my face!)
5 playoff 1 ( stacked balls shot )
8-1 ( hustler masse no looking )
so like i said you i cant film more and it’s the only shot of the APTSA i actually have on my pocket pc...so i understand if it’s not exactly what Yow search...
I’m actually editing 2 new vids, so i send he 4 personal shots and i let “the Preacher” decided what shots he add to the vid if myAPTSA shots are not good!in them you have “the moon”, the moving girl jump a new shot i called the 21 ace and one of my video 30 called the “french style”!
Also thanks to Yow! for the draw practice vid, it’s an honour!!!i’ll practice them!!
And other thing if you put the name of the players, put “VenomTrickShots”, I know it’s a shit nickname but when i created it i don’t though i can appears one day in an Eric Yow video, but now it’s too late to delete that name!, also i think this vid can be a good advertising for all personaly website^^

NOTE: I'm posting up the shots in order of how I received them to let you know what's taken. But, for those of you who sent me more than enough, I'll denote that in my updates. Right now, to be fair, I'm only guaranteeing the first 4 or 5 pro shots and 1 or 2 personal shots (for a total of six). If you send me more, I'll hang on to them just in case. Also, I hope you'll be ok with my exercise of discretion in choosing not to use some shots in the end.
Ppooler has already sent me five, so the following are taken:
3-4; 4-4; 4-5; 15 in 1 version one; 15 in 1 version two
Venom has:
2-4; 8-1 (no look); 3-po1; 5-po1; 4-po2 - Personal shots: 21ace shot; frechstyle; moonshot; jumpgirl (will only use one or two, probably)
Tombuzz has:
1-2; 4-2; 5-4; (4-5 was already taken); Salmon jump; Alley way (T, Ppooler already took 4-5. Also, refilm 5-4 if you can as the clip needs to be a little bit longer for me to edit properly.)
James has:
4-1; 4-3; 6-1; 7-5; 8-3; Big Kahuna

I'll update again soon, but this is all I have so far. For those of you who haven't sent any to me, bring it! For those who have already sent me those which I've updated above, I would encourage you to refilm those particular shots in better lighting, with your face in the picture, a better angle, or whatever you think might make them look good. If you refilm and it looks better, resubmit and I'll just replace the old with the new. Venom, if you want to refilm, consider not laying your stick down on the table as soon as you make the shot. An editor needs a little room to play with the video, perhaps a few seconds, before and after each shot. I don't know that yours need to be refilmed, but I just wanted to say something about it.
This weekend I may film a few shots, if I get the time. I would like to shoot jump five (James' shot) one handed without looking and the stroke around the rack shot one handed. Maybe. We'll see.

just finished filming my editor is comming this afternoon to convert the video so you shood get an email containing my shots later today.

Also, incidentally, all of your clips are large clips but for some reason are extremely low quality. Perhaps you could refilm at higher resolution and save it as such on your computer? I can use what you've sent me, but the better stuff I'm given to work with the better end product we will have.)
Abdiaz has:
1-po2; 7-po2; 8-3; bottleshot; tunnel shot (4-po2 was already taken) (These are also extremely low quality videos. If you can refilm them in higher quality, they will work much better. I don't mind working with poorly filmed overly pixelated videos, but, remember - the better quality work we put out there, the more traffic we will be able to generate to ericyow.com pool forums. Also, the more people see you and your face while you're shooting, particularly if it's high enough quality to see so, the more likely you'll get crazy-famous!)
Notes:
I am not going through and figuring out which ones are left available for you to shoot. I'm sorry, but you can do that just as easily as I can. Just figure out what you want to shoot and email the videos to me as soon as possible. Let's stick to the Feb. 15th date. If you've already emailed me 6 or 7 shots in video clips, you're good to go. But I welcome you to refilm in higher quality with better lighting, still. Keep up the good work. Clock's ticking! Try and contact those others who haven't submitted yet and get them on top of things!

Ok, sorry about the quality on the videos. My cam is an old one. I think my girl might have a cam that does better quality stuff. I'll look at it and see what i can do. I'll try to edit that pi shot down for ya. Any suggestions on a good software prog to do it with, that won't cost an arm and a leg? Lost my job yesterday so having to watch the pennies now.
Ok, been working on trying to improve the quality of the vids, and unfortunately have not been able to. Then again I'm no expert on doing that sort of thing. I am going to edit the Pi shot and resend that one to you. My apologies on the quality. i will understand if you decide not to use my clips in the end. Disappointed, but understand. Will have the edited Pi shot to you tommorow. have to go get ready for a league match tonight.
