Fast Company DVD set |
|
I own this set and am looking to sell it, its only been viewed once so it is basically in new condition. The set is two DVDs by Damian Nieman (writer/director of shade and card magician) teaching gambling sleights and tricks. To read more go to www.fastcompanydvd.com. It sells for $88 on that web site, I'm selling my set for $50 (s+h included). I do not have paypal but can take personal check or money order. The package will be sent out the same day payment is received, an online tracking/delivery confirmation number will be included. If interested PM me.

so what did you think of it? I know I'm asking a guy who is trying to sell it, but where are its strengths and what is it geared towards? better for magic or gambling moves? How are the shots, the website talks alot about the camera angles and the slow motion, but how would you evaluate it? What did you pickup from it? Anything that you will keep for a long time to come?

well in all honesty, although im selling them im still "keeping them". But anyway, there were some unique things that I had never seen on any dvd or in any book, having to do with a cut or crimp card. Some tips on handlings and pointers from some of the sleights that are not shared in some of the similar DVD exposès that are out there. For those that are a fan of the movie shade, Damian Neiman tips the method Stuart Townsend used in that four ace control scene with Jamie Foxx, and that was very cool and unexpected. There had been a lot of talk and discussion about how it had been done. In the Three Card Monte section the most valuable aspects were keeping the audience involved and the psychology of it which is something I think some amateur performers miss. Overrall I'd say it was pretty good, was it worth the $80 + 8 shipping and handling that I paid for it?! Probably not lol. But i understand why magic guys have to make their stuff a bit on the expensive side, they are selling some of their secrets, it make sense. Anyway thats what I can tell you.
