If this is anything like the other "hover" card I've seen, then the gimmick is kinda difficult to maintain/control, and the angles aren't great. But like I said, I don't know what variant they might have thrown in on this one. I had an older "hover card" modus operandi video back last year when I first started though. Seems very visual, very cool, but kinda difficult to routine. I am highly considering, however, going against myself and buying this anyway. I think it might work well for a table-to-table trick.

HoverCard was first published in a compilation book called (I think) The Complete Levitation. It was a small booklet that detailed various 'floating' effects from rings to paper money. At the time hovercard was fairly well ignored, probably because you have to make the gimmick yourself.
A few years later I saw Harlan dem it at a convention; I think he had started making them. I don't remember them being very popular at the time.
Now E are selling them, they seem to be hot cakes. Who said branding is worthless?
Take care, Ian

The Hummer card is Bob Hummer's floating card effect also know as the whirling card or the UFO (although anyone using that name deserves a really hard slap as Bob was a brilliant but extremely odd man who I respect enormously and deserves due credit). The Hover card is a Dan Harlan effect which is different in method (no IT attached to your head) and in effect.. The Hover involves a card it floating an inch above the deck whereas the Hummer card involves a card cavorting around the performer.

I can't remember what the book is called, and I sold my copy ten years ago. It was a small orange spiral bound booklet, and I imagine it is _long_ out of print. I know I've not seen one since I got rid of mine.
I do know the person who bought it from me, so I could ask him if I get the chance.
Take care, Ian

It's called the Art of Close up Levitiation and you can get it here:

Hope that helps,
Take care, Ian
Edit: it's by Jon Jensen, so that's probably the book Termonte is talking about.
