i'm sorry, i'm afraid i can't help you on this one. maybe you should try the azbilliards forum, they're really informative when it comes to cue maintenance. at least that's what i think...

I'm afraid I can't help you, either.
I just use the super-glue and it works for me. I don't need some special glue, nor a special tools for sticking these tips.
A super-glue is easy to use, and also very cheap. I find it practical for masse shots 'cause I usually don't want to wait several hours...

ok, i think i had some explanations of my diferent "crash test"^^:
What i think is that, hard glues are not for masse, because of the jolt, even the strongest glue doesnt work
But the best glues are the supple glue, with a long time for the drying...
Exception for the superglue: it has mindestens 2 kind of that glue, one liquid and one gel:
the liquid don't work, but the gel is very efficient...I think that's the glue ppooler and yow! are using...if it's not thatreason i don't understand^^

i may have another explanation...
i went to get my jump cue repaired a few weeks ago and the repirguy said that he could not glue a tip on the ferrule because it just wasn't the right material (he said "inox" which i don't know what that is ). so i asked him to put a bronze brass ferrule on it and now it is holding very well, i think that if you have a metal or brass ferrule on your massé shaft, that might be the reason. also, i am really bad at fixing cues. i have none of the materials or the knowledge... i always let someone else do it so i know it is well repaired, i'm just not that handy...
and if your massé shaft doesn't have a brass ferrule, it is probably the superglue you are using or not enough
