so. . i bought the Ghost deck, i opened it, and i washed my hands before touching them. . .

i carefully take them out and admired the glimmering cards

i want to be extremely careful with them, and not break the sides and corners like i did with regular bikes (from faro shuffling). . .

is there a way "safe way" to break these cards in?

the edges are so clean, i'm scared of faroing them Shocked
*looks at my regular bike's "flowered" corners* Confused

Dude, I love my ghosts. I took them out on the street for my Journeymen vid. Seriously, don't worry about it. They're common, and they're 5 bucks. So...it's no big deal. Mine held up great...They still feel brand new. I got them out just tonight and fanned them - fan like a dream. Don't sell yourself short because you wanna keep them in great condition. If that's what you're worried about, buy another deck and keep it sealed, and just go nuts with those. I faro mine, and use them alot, they're GREAT cards. 5/5 in my book. Looks, feel, quality - the total package. Not to mention, fairly cheap...in comparison with Vipers or Tigers.

cool, i think i'll start using them bit by bit now. .

just a quick question, do the corners split open like normal bikes?
sometimes i faro wrong and i end up stabbing the cards together and you know what happens after that . . .

Of course they will split, one corner almost tore off after practicing lots of faros with it. But seriously now, just use the cards normally, its not like these are super rare cards.

The only time I've split a corner on my ghosts is when I dropped them and it dinged them up, and then after that one split...other than that, I found that they were extremely good quality.

i totally agree, i just got a deck of Ghost last week, and still fans like a dream! a tried to use fanning powder with my friend's Ghost, and whoa, totally fans like a dream....do you think it's good to use fannin' powder for ghosts?

i took care of these decks really carefully. heh, even though over here it costs 23-25 Us dollars, it's still worth it Very Happy

Yeah i was also careful when i first got mine. Even though i rarely use them (unless im doing something special Wink ) When i do now i'm not that sensitive or scared if i ruin a card or more. Before i was thinking about not even opening them. But they're also only like 5-7 bucks here canadian at this card shop here in my small town Cool
So yeah i wouldn't worry cuz you could always buy another if u needed it.
I just noticed you lived in vancouver, that's awesome. I think i've been to the magic shop there. and i live like an 7-8 hour drive away haha.

haha indeed i too am just a little woose about it, they are soo beautiful fanning when they are all suited, the blood red pips combined with the outline is such a turn on Laughing but for some reason a little shop in PG had vipers, tigers and ghosts and i have NO idea why, so i snatched them up as soon as i saw them lol

Ghosts arguably look the sexiest for fanning in my opinion.I tend not to use mine because I like to keep them clean and complete but somehow I lost an ace of clubs and it appeared under the jokers foot 0.o. Coincidence? Maybe but I like ghosts more than any other deck.
