Post Group buys? Reply with quote
You think there'd be enough people here to arrange group buy?

On things like cards, chips and the like.

Sounds like fun, I'm interested.

Cool.

Well I'll throw some ideas out for some potential items.

Copy n past links into browser

kem Casino Plastic cards
http://kardwell.com/kem-casino.htm

Semi-Custom or custom ceramics from Lynbark
http://lynbark.com/custom_poker_chips_semicustom.htm

ASM or other clay chips
http://www.pokerchips.com/chips/chips_styles.html

I like the lynbark samples but Brent mentioned that something was happening at BR Pro so maybe we should go with something else if we do chips.

On the http://www.pokerchips.com/chips/chips_styles.html page the following look interesting to me:
Classic Casino Style Clay With Custom Printed Center & Multi Colored Edge Spots
Custom Clay With Printed Center & Single Colored Edge Spots
Clay_Chips With Edge Spots and Hot Stamping
Clay_Chips With Edge Spots

On the card side plastic kems are the best for poker but I like to use cards for both poker and for tricks and flourishes so I prefer paper cards. If I'm reading the http://www.kardwell.com/custom5.htm page right then it looks like we could order 400 custom decks of Paper Playing Cards.

OOooo, some 21ace paper cards would be kinda cool. We'd need alot if interest for 400 decks.

The ASM Clays are pretty expensive but they're very nice. Is there anywhere else that we could get clays?

How bout ceramics from e-pokerdeals?

http://www.epokerdeals.com/custom_poker_chips_s/92.htm

They get them from the same folks?

True, 400 decks is too many.
The http://www.customplayingcards.com/business-low-quantity.htm page has a 25 deck minimum.
The http://www.customplayingcards.com/magicians.htm page has a 48 deck minimum.
Both 25 and 48 decks are both within our range I think. We need to confirm that they have paper decks and that the quality is good. We also need to check on pricing.

I think all the ceramic chip samples I've gotten from epokerdeals are also BR Pro.

If we go with clay then I'm not sure which other shops we should look at.

They are Blue Chips, so if you have Modern Clays, Turf Clubs, ect. you can ave an idea of what they are like.

I'm not sure. If we can wait awhile then maybe BR Pros are the way to go. If we want to do something soon then I'd like to go with something else.
