you can always try some variation of the word eight!
like: one shot you call hexagon, the other spider, the other snowman, the other ocho, the other octopus, 8-track (old cassette player), clearance, wipe-out, etc...
i'm terrible at names as well, so thisis just an opinion

I guess ppooler and I have the same problem. There are some kind of shots I'm able to find a name, but most of the time the names will only be useful to find the shot I'm looking for.
For example, ppooler's fifth shot, I would give it the name "Butterfly + 2"... Not very original...

OK , I did the page...
http://www.trickshot.cz/bankshots2e.html
Now, I have to struggle with writing more or less meaningful content, but I handle it...
yeah, the octopus is nice word, I used immediately for the most weird shot which actually looks like that (with a little imagination)
These spider's names are also very good idea, I'll remake some of them later...
Chipper, I have one shot I call after you but this is more likely prop/ novelty ...
http://www.trickshot.cz/chippersshot.wmv
also one jump shot
http://www.trickshot.cz/jumpbutterfly.wmv
....................................................
Thanks, that's exactly I was asking for...

these are my ideas for these shot names, i havnt really read the other replys though yet so if u have them named already sorry XD
trick shot tim has a simpler version of the second shot called Kyoto Freeway, maybe thatll help with a name for the second.
the third is a tough one to name, im thinking like 3, 3, 2 in 1, as in 3 in one side pocket, 3 in the other, and hit 2 balls in last.
4th one if you look from above i can barely make out a little smiley face, maybe thatd help.
5th one is real tough, cause of the fact its based off of one of the most popular shots in trick shot pool. best i can think of is somethin like "Ppooler's Butterfly" or "B2" or something, good luck with that XD

Good idea with the binder, the draw mind is, indeed, good shot ...
This works for me... http://www.trickshottim.com/tutorial/Butterfly.html
I've learned a lot of things from Tim recently, since I can finally understand completely
The butterfly is worth learn properly...
One more thing , you ought to make those photos on your
homepage smaller because it takes "dog's-age" until the page is entirely loaded,
so that instead 1600 x 1200 px it should be 150 x 200 px...
The best free software for such purpose is called Infranview...

Thank you, but it's not an invention of me. I'm not sure but I think I stole this one from ppooler
to pp: what exactly do you mean by the photo's? they work fine overhere and on every other pc I've checked today (about 6) they all load very fast. maybe it's your pc? Because the original size was 1600/1200 and I made it into 150/200. I already did that, so I'm not sure what you mean...
I just like high resolution pictures because else, the quality isn't hat i want it to be... but if more people have this problem let me know onhere, or the contact page... maybe i'll also try to work out some sort of guestbook or small forum or anything, but i'm quite busy the next week
to venom:
I'm pretty sure I've got the crappiest table when it comes to the felt! believe me!!

yeah, you just improved the idea of the bank draw, ...
The pictures are really rather huge...
check it http://www.tombuzztrickshots.com/img/CIMG2101.JPG
the size of the picture is 585.05 kB it can be only 50 kB...
the quality will be eventually about the same if you make it 150 x 200

oooh i see what you mean now. I only reduced the size in dreamweaver (the webdesign program) but they are still the original size on the server
i'll try to fix that today, thx

oh and 1 more thing ppooler:
how exactly do you rate the shots with a DOD on your site? I'm planning to do this as well but I find it hard to give a DOD for shots I haven't thought of. For example, the easy 2 + 2 shot on my trick & fancy page http://tombuzztrickshots.com/videos/easy2+2.wmv
I was thinking a DOD of 6 because this is an easy shot for me, but it could be a lot harder for others... if you know what I mean ...

Is it already OK...
.............................
Well, the whole thing with the DOD is very tricky...
For instance, right now is the degree of difficulty of butterfly, for me, something like 1 but, of course, is not that easy...
If you practise some shot extra, then you can later think that the DOD is wrong...
Take it just like a rough estimate...NO big deal !anyway
The DOD for skills shots can be better indicator - you can get the number by counting successful executions per ten attempts .
for example - one successful attempt per ten attempt > DOD 11 or more, more than 6 successful attempts per ten attempts > DOD 6 or less...
(or something like that) but even so, it's very subjective ...
