I know i could probably pull some shots off but the problem is I don't have a massé cue. and without massé's, the performance won't be as good as i would like it to be. If u mess up, no problem, ure not a big star and ppl dont have high expectations. It appears that the competition will be held in a local poolhall and that the station will be filming some shots, so it's not like I have to give an entire show. Someone close to me who use to play the pro curcuits told me that. I'm finding it's true. You have so many trick shots that you can do, and do consistantly you won't have a problem with this. As for the competitors you will face, it doesn't matter what their skill level is so much as it does you keeping your focus and doing what you know to do. "Play the table, not the opponent." In this case, play the shot not the opponent. If you go into it telling yourself you can't win, and you shouldn't do it, you won't win, and you won't do it. Opportunity is knocking on your door to hang out with the pros. If nothing else comes of it, you have one of the best opportunities to learn from the ones most qualified to teach. Do it, give it your best, and you have nothing to lose, everything to gain, and an experience of a lifetime you can pass on to others. Besides, who knows, one of the pros may like what they see in you, and may decide to mentor you. Or, someone else might see you and offer you another opportunity for something. You never know what could happen, or who you will meet at an event like that. if you don't take the opportunity, you might miss out on something bigger, and will always be wondering what would have happened if you only had done it. Don't let fear prevent you from doing it. Courage isn't the abscence of fear, it's how you respond to it. GO FOR IT T-BUZZ! YOU CAN DO IT, MAN! Last year, for a tv show, I had to play pool with Alain Martel, one of the best pool player in the world. I didn't make a single shot and I misscued a couple of times so don't worry about this. I only got good comments from people that were usualy not talking to me... You'll be famous after that ! If you have problem with french, I can help you.
