I went to Nino's in NYC to see Oz Pearlman. He's a lot better than you would think from watching his videos. I told him that I've been learning from his videos the day before and he didn't do one trick from Penguine or his vids. I think his arsenol is bigger than you might think.
He showed me how to do a sibil cut false. It turns out he does sibil with 5 packets and I've been doing it with 4. I asked him about the hand size thing and he says it doesn't matter and put his hand flat against mine, and my hands were significantly bigger than his. So any trick that I can't do that he can is not because of hand size. I showed him how Brian Tudor does the YTBN and lifts the deck with his thumb at the end. Oz can't reach around with his thumb but he opened the deck with one hand and it looked the same. I think he used his first finger and let the other half fall in his hand. It was quick.
He did some trick where you guess a number from 10-30 and he sets the deck down on the table and flicks a packet of cards off the top with his first finger, and you pick up the packet and it has the same number of cards as you guessed. He even had me square the deck on the table before he flicked it. Another thing he did that was totally awesome was a simple hotshot cut then when he caught the card in his other hand, showed what it was, and then in a second the card was different. I don't think he hot shot cut a double through the air, and I don't think he had a card palmed so I don't know but he did it inches from my face.
He also did some cool rope magic and I saw him doing some cool coin stuff for the waiters. He's a really cool guy, you gotta go down to Nino's when he's there and check it out.

He was in Bridgeport, CT a few days ago and I missed him  I found out the next day that he was there. Hopefully I'll see him next time he's in the area, sounds like he was cool though.
