Ninja 1 is definitely worth the cash. I got it about a week or so ago (along with Ninja 2) and I think anyone can learn from it.
If you're a beginner, you'll learn a lot from it for sure.

it depends.. what are you aiming for? Do you want to perform magic tricks or more interested in manipulating cards?

hey nathan.. i'll give you a little more helpful answer.
The reason why I asked is... if you wanted to know how to perform the pass and learn card tricks to perform infront of people, then you should get ninja 1 as a starter video. However, if you wanted to learn how to do false shuffles, false cuts, doing various deals etc.. you could try getting weapons of the card shark by jeff wiessmiller (is that his name?)
and nathan... word of advice, be a little more confident.. if you feel that your post might be dumb still post it. Who cares what other people think, its not like you're gonna get banned. And if someone gives you a retarded reply say buzz off, bite me, screw you, etc.

Oz Pearlman "Born to Perform" is a good beginners video if you want to learn the double lift (he uses it all over the place) and a few nice cuts. Ninja is much better at showing you the pass (several variations). Personally I think you should learn both the double lift and a couple of different Passes (Ninja shows the double lift, but Oz lives and breaths with it). If you want to see a ton of false deals, shuffles, and cuts "Richard Turners Card Cheat is great, however be fore warned that it is not a training video. You will have to slow everything down and watch it several times to see what he is doing. I do have to say that he is the best Seconds and bottom dealer I have ever seen (no offense Ian -- I think you are a great teacher, far better than Richard Turner, but the cards just seem to dance in that man's hands).

This topic has been covered loads of times. but i'll add my tuppence anyway.

Born to perfrom is a more complete beginners DVD than Ninja 1.

Ninja one deal rather well with the pass for beginners but only really shows its uses in the 'Vegas Card Cheat Routine' although Ellusionist bills this a reputation maker. I think its far from it. It has some nice moves but a real card cheat routine should have false deals stacking and the like which this one doesn't.

If you have the money get Ninja1&2 and then Crash Course 2 these give you great basis for a rwally nice routine. Ninja 2 has loads and loads of great stuff in it!
