Ninja Movies |
|
Hi, I have been looking around in the forum etc..
And i really like to get my hands on the Ninja 1 movie, but there is a big problem here, I live in Sweden
The Shippment almost costs as much as the movie, and if i would by it thrue the DL'ing method it would be like downloading it from someone elses computer.
Anyone got any solution? i wont pay to download, i would pay to get the DvD.
Thanx

You only have 2 options, and it sounds like you're not open to either one of them. Yeah, I know it's a bitch living in Sweden with the shipping charges and all. But probably the best option would be to do the instant download.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, when I ordered the Ninja dvds, Ellusionist offered the instant download for only a few dollars (about 40 sek in Sweden) more. So while you're waiting a month for the dvd to arrive, you could watch the instant download on your computer for just a little more cash.

I think it's a pretty good dvd, actually - along with Ninja 2. Especially if you're a beginner.
@Deathorglory
I'm slowly getting back into card magic. What would you recommed for an "intermediate" card magician? I have the Ninja Series, Crash Course 1, Generation Extreme, and Jeff McBride vol 1- 3. Any suggestions?

Huh? I have never supported any of E's dvd's .
If you want to start in card magic, look for some books called Royal Road to Card Magic, or Card College. If you just want to learn the pass, there is a dvd called On the Pass with Richard Kaufman.

Yeah, I know you're a big fan of Royal Road. I'll look into that. Thanks.
Any particular reason why you don't care for E's dvds? Just curious.

Hmm, I think since you will have a hard time getting those DVDs, Y dun spend the money on the book? Cause it have more informations, knowledge and it will cost alot less than the DVD.

Partly because of E's marketing, but mostly out of the fact that you can't really cover the basics in just a couple dvd's, the entire series of Card College covers the basics. Plus, in my opinion, the dvd's don't really go that in depth.
By the way, this applies to Penguin's beginner dvd's as well.

Honestly, Ninja 1 isn't that great anyway, admittedly, I haven't personally watched that many sources on the pass, but Ninja 1 doesn't cover it very well, and there aren't that many other great moves taught. Sure, you have the multiple shift, but most people don't seem to use them and better sources are available for that, there is the Curry Tip over change(or Merlin tip over change, or Marlo drop switch depending on what you want to call it), a couple false cuts, the bullet deal and that's about it. In almost all cases there are better moves to accomplish what those moves accomplish and there are better sources with more subtleties, I'd recommend you look for some other source that offers free shipping worldwide and pick it up.
