probably been asked 100 times...but casino chips? |
|
Ok, I got a set of chips, they're nice, but don't stack easily...I'm looking to upgrade to Paulsons, and they are about $1-$2 per chip. And once they are used the will go down in value, i would assume...
So what's to stop me from going to the casino, cashing in several hundred dollars for a lot of chips and taking them home. They cost $1 each, and they will never go down in value, if they get old or worn or dirty, just go back and cash them in for new ones. Just have to make sure you keep track of them, since they're real money. Has anyone done this?

Have you seen the "papazoid" chips at chiptalk.net? You might be able to buy them under $1 each and they might become more valuable in the future. Could be a good investement?

I haven't registered at chip talk so I couldn't view that page. Are the chips to be made by Paulson?? That isn't a Paulson mold (currently) and I have never seen new Paulsons for under like $1.25 a chip. I don't like the inlay or inlay shapes. Not all that attractive to me...

Yeah, they are Paul-son chips but with a custom mold which is unique for homemarket Paul-son chips. Paul-son chips usually sell for $0.89 each during pre-sell periods. Personally I prefer this mold to the "Paul-son Chips" advertising mold on the other homemarket chips. The mold, shaped inlays, design etc etc is all about personal preference but I think all of the things that set these apart from the other homemarket chips will make these more valuable on the aftermarket. The "Le Cove" chips, for example, sell for over $2 each in used condition I think.

I like the mold better, just not the coors and inlays.

those Le Cove Paul-son are absolutely beautiful, i wouldnt min having a set of those. |
Me neither... never handled them though. The "Casino de Mexico" chips are awful imo, I know you bought my samples. They don't sound good like other Paulson chips and one of the labels was starting to fall off on one chip?? Weird... If the Le Cove chips etc are just like them I would rather have something else.

Are the new Paulson shaped inlay TH&C available yet, or for preorders anywhere?
