Revolutionary Card Technique |

Has anyone heard of any plans to produce a non-hardback version of Revolutionary Card Technique? I would like to purchase this book but i do not feel inclined to shell out 50 bucks for it.

I have the hardcover book and I do not think it is going into paperback. To me, the $50 was well worth it. It teaches a lot of things, such as side steals, palming, bottom/second/center dealing, faro shuffle, and a lot more. It also teaches many variations on each move, so you can find the technique that suits you.

Heres my thoughts...
If you are going to lay down 50 bucks, you mind as well spend a little extra and get Jerry's Encyclopedia. That book is killer...so many moves, so many flourishes, I cannot tell you how many new things you will be able to see and learn with this book.
Maybe you dont want to spend the extra, but id recommend it.

It is an excellent compilation of the original pamphalets which marlo published years ago....
I have the original series and thought they had great material....
However, you should know it is not for the beginner...the sleights will take time and dedication to practice...but, well worth the effort.
If you are a beginner, I would make a different choice...but, if you have some experience with sleight of hand....and are well versed in the basics....you will find very good information in the book.

Considering what all is included in Revolutionary Card Technique it is underpriced. Frankly, what would you be willing to spend $50 on? Yes, it may seem like a lot for a single book, but considering it includes more content than you will typically find in four or five DVDs or books priced at $30 each it is well worth the investment. Mind you, some of the stuff may not interest you.

I'm sorry, I haven't read Jerry's Encyclopedia, but it is my understanding that it covers very different material than "Revolutionary Card Technique" and thus really isn't comparable.
As to the initial question, I haven't heard any plans to release it in soft cover, nor would I expect any to materialize considering the content you are talking about. Frankly, like I said, $50 is a bargain when you consider each of the manuscripts should probably sell for at least $10 each.
