ok so the guy is very impressive, but I am forced to question... With his sight, how can he cull cards? he can do amazing things with a deck but if he were a cheat and had to arrange cards in a game could he see them? Does this rule out peeking for him? Just wondering and I apologize if I am missing something and look like an idiot with this post.

Richard is pretty much totally blind now. He and his sister had a degenerative condition that, over time, has taken their sight. So no, he can't see the cards that well.
It's important to realise that many people who practice gambling type moves will never use them in a game, or have the inclination to. Similarly, the people who do use the moves will seldom trumpet the fact.
There was an interesting article on Turner in a Genii magazine last year; you might want to get hold of the back issue as it will fill in a lot of the blanks.
Take care, Ian

Yes, Richard has really amazing skills. That article in the Genii might be interesting. I wonder how he learned to do all these cheats undetected. He probably must have had someone who spent a lot of time with him telling him what is visible and what isn't.

Remember that his blindness is degenerative - it's got worse over time. In the beginning he had some idea of what was happening.
If you get his Best of the Bottoms DVD there's a long section where he talks about how he started and overcame his disability.
Take care, Ian
