In a seven player hand you can deal yourself a royal flush and all others a full boat. It involves everyone cutting the deck but I forgot the trick. Can anyone help?

This seems pretty interesting. For a start I think you would need some really good skills in stacking or to have a prearranged deck. Because you would have to order 35 cards it would be probably better to go with a prearranged deck. If you want everyone else to cut the deck then you might either use some special cutting method or learn the pass. Another possibility would be to switch the decks after the cutting sequence.

It highly depends on the situation in which you would like to perform this trick and on the audience. If they were normal spectators and you were doing your magic act then you might use shuffling/dealing methods that would look exotic but would help you. If you wanted to do this in a game then you would probably need different methods.

I did a small youtube search and found for instance this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIFRFbgFNyE which is done by retaining the top prearranged part of the deck during the shuffles. It doesn't involve spectators cutting the deck but this might help you for the start (in case you ever return to this forum after such a nice welcome Rolling Eyes ). Dealing this hand in texas holdem is easier because you don't have to use so many cards as in stud.

PS: Happy New Year everyone...

This forum is not dead....Just not as active as it used to be....

As far as answering your question.....the most practical way do what you want is to use a "cooler".

However, you have to be crazy because the hands are too strong.

bear in mind that you can also use sleight of hand to stack a double or triple duke...But, that takes years of practice and is difficult to pull off with "heat".

So, stick with a "cooler".

I hope this info helps !

Enjoy !

Boy, I know I am late and nobody checks this forums anymore, BUT...this trick is called simply The Seven Gamblers. It involves a story, a stacked deck and a certain dealing order.

Personally, I have changed the trick some. I no longer allow the spectators to cut the deck, which does have a negative impact on the tricks effect. I feel that this loss is more than offset by the fact that my straight flush is always a royal flush (not true in the original) with the preferred suit (spades for me, cuz it always has the most impressive looking ace) and I have combined this trick with Paul Wilson's Fan2C (the trick from the movie Shade, where five random cards are riffled with the thumb and become a royal flush).

This trick I learned from my dad, I haven't seen it anywhere else. I am willing to talk about the original trick, but when it comes to the modifications I have made, especially Fan2C, don't bother asking.

I recently heard of a stack which always guaranteed the dealer to win AFTER the specuator gave the deck a fair cut.

The problem was that the other players were not guaranteed to get hands that would be competitive. In addition some of his winning hands may have simply been a high pair vs. a strong hand like a royal flush.

I wish I remember who I heard this from.

The reason I was not too interested is that if I was skilled enough to do
a cooler, I would not be too worried about the cut. Cut's are easy enough to nullify.

The main reason I am not a huge fan of the original version of this trick is that there is a slight possibility that the trick will fail and the dealer will lose the final hand.It is a good trick in that you can let the spectator do seven consecutive true cuts and possibly still succeed, but bad in that it isn't guaranteed. Hence my changes.

The way I handle that situation is that I am prepared to switch out my hand for a royal flush or something like that.

Then if odd event that the cards do not fall well, I can always switch in my power house hand and show the finale.

Bottom line, when performing magic, always be prepared and have an "out" Very Happy

I am looking on how to perform this trick for an audience. I know you need seven players and you need a new deck unct and unshuffled. I know you deal off the bottom to yourself but i do not know how many times or how many people. Can anyone help me with this?
