Tally-Ho Circle Back offset??? |
|
I know that the Tally-Ho Circle Back cards are one-way...but are they that noticeable?? Look at my fan.
And no, I don't need to work on my fans.
But anyone have any idea if that is supposed to be, or do I have a faulty deck?

Looka t it individually...there are some where the red is like half a CM down than the one next to it.

Oh, so you mean like the printing (ink) is offset on each card...I noticed that with a deck of my Bicycles as well.

Once in a great while everyone will get a offset card in a deck, it's just gets offset while being printed, but this will happen now and again. I've had it a few times as well, but it doesnt stop the deck be unusable tho. You can use the offset card for many things including ....using it for a keycard in a card effect. If you have Daryl's encyclopedia of card sleights he even tells you this. And no there not that noticeable if you know what your looking for.

Decks that are bad printed are cool . You can enjoy much fun with them
And it isn't normally so visible that they are one way of course...

Well, it isn't just one card, it is the entire deck that is off set so much...Obne side is half the size of the other!
And I really don't use 'gimmicked' decks for magic, so I won't be using an offset card for anything.

At the very most, this is a minor inconvenience. I wouldn't lose any sleep over one misprinted deck of cards. Besides, if you were to make a video or something nobody would even notice. Like I said, this has happened to me once or twice. If it's really that troublesome to you, then put them in the "practice" pile.
Hell, you took a close-up picture, told everyone there was something wrong with the cards, and there were STILL people who didn't notice.

*kicks marp*
Lol.
Anyways, what I wanted to really know was that is that normal for the Circle back?? Do they really have that much of an offset, or is it just the deck I have now.

I actually don't even understand what you are talking about.
That fan is puny...get it so it at least touches your palm when in finished position.
In fact, I know what your problem is Kevin. When you buy a deck...like Tallys...they automatically offset themselves because they know they are going to be fanned very poorly.
Hopefully that helps,
Marp

*slaps marp around a bit with a trout*
The pic isn't my great fan...in fact that pic as taken after a substantial amount of oil had accumulated on the deck in which I refuse to powder that deck. (I don't powder the red circle backs)
Here's another picture of a horrible ribbon spread, but these two pics were just for you to get an idea of the offset...I don't care about my fans when i don't have to.

You need to work on your ribbon spreads.
That picture was blurry as hell.
Hope that helps,

Hmm it seems that this deck is offset a lot. Maybe you can try to send it back to USPCC if it isn't much damaged. They might send you a normal deck instead. Or you can sell it to a magician or a cheater and make some money.

This is hilarious. I can't believe this topic is STILL being discussed. Are people REALLY breaking their balls over a single pack of cards that are offset a micro-millimeter? There is no way anybody will notcice this egregiously minuscule defect unless you inspect it like a goddamn science project. And if anybody actually DID notice, nobody would even give a cat's ass.
