I was reading about this last night on http://www.recpoker.com.
From what I read it sounded like the main casino remained closed for awhile but they opened up the poker room again once the marshalls were done.
Some friends of mine are in Vegas this weekend so I'm expecting to get more information soon. I hope this doesn't hurt the image of The World Series of Poker.

I saw it on CNN yesterday ( Jan 10) They said the IRS closed the one in Las Veags down. They may have to move the WS of P somewhere else.

They closed the Binions because of the same problem they had last year in not paying the millions they owe and not having enough cash in the cage to cover the chips on the floor.

The WSOP wasn't at Binions at all last year. In 2005 the final 4 tables or something were there. But 2006, it was 100% at the Rio.
Binions has been in a heap of dung lately. Just in the fall Jacks daughter took the "Binions Millions" that you were able to get your picture taken with. I assume they used it to pay off some debt.
It's too bad. There's alot of history there. Freemont Street is great fun, but you can't beat the strip.
Here's a series of pic of Binions.
EDIT: I just noticed that this thread was 3 years old.
You're site is lame and your spammy efforts are pretty sad.

Final table of 2006 was at the Rio. I'm watching a clip of it right now.
2005 I think the last 18 were at Binions.

To be honest, they should still do that, I like the setting of tradition at Binion's for the final table at least.
