The creator Ashford Knietel (sp?) hasn't published it yet, so there is no tutorial out for it.

This move is not taught anywhere. Ashford Kneitel showed the cut in Hit the Road, a DVD with Paul Wilson and Lee Asher...but used it in a 4 queen production. He explained the product but did not explain the cut.
Lonnie Dilan is currently editing a new DVD for Ashford that will include his new cut.

I hate when people whine that someone is not do a flourish 'correctly'.
If you produce the same effect then who gives a shit.
If I get the cards set up for a king cobra a little different then devo does the move will still have the same impact....maybe the way I do is easier for me....and might even look better then the 'correct way'.
So in short...do whatever move any way you want...regardless of how the creator does it...and you will still be 'doing it'!

so are you saying that if i was to set up a king cobra with 2 hands, yet i could still close it like devo..... then i could claim to be able to do a king cobra? or if i was able to build card houses but needed glue, i could claim to be able to build awesome card houses?
i get what your saying but there is a limit on everything, and what i was saying is that if they are doing it incorrectly to the original tornado, then they really aren't doing the original tornado.

Fatty...thats like saying to a basketball player "Bring the ball up the court"...well obviously you have to dribble it, you cannot just carry it and run up the court. However, you can dribble legally and use whatever means necessary to get around your defender and whatever else.
Hopefully you can see the analogy here. Saying to a cardist, perform the king cobra. Well obviously you cannot just use two hands to set it up and then execute it. You must use one hand but how about you get it set up with that one hand is up to you.

yeah, you should at least say it's a variation, instead of implying what you're doing is what he made. I mean, he did make the original, but you may not be representing his work correctly. Does that kinda make sense?

What I was really getting at is...most people unless they sleep with a deck of cards shoved up their ass wont even notice these minor details that people talk about.
I have seen many moves done and people say they were not done 'exactly/correctly' as the creator does it and I personally never notice what the hell they are talking about.
...and Fatty, you know I didn't mean it to that extreme, Marp knew what I meant!
So when I do WTH if my pinky finger is not exactly where Tudors is then I still did the damn flourish.

On topic remark:
I think most people know when a flourish is performed correctly. The example of the king cobra being set up with 2 hands is an extreme analogy. But let's face it, as long as the overall effect of a flourish is executed, nobody is gonna examine it like a science project and call you on it by saying "your finger placement is wrong". Only people who sleep with decks of cards up their ass would be this petty.
