VERY VERY nice trick |
|
Definetly never seen that trick before. It is a bit like the double axis twirl but done over the chips instead of under. I been working on the trick about 30 min and almost have it. Great job it is a truly beutiful trick nicely done!

Wow thanks, it all came about when I was trying to add twirls to the front to back motion and make it look "fancy". A bud of mine was impressed by the trick so I figured I'd show it here.
I can post more vids no problem. Heres the slow version.

Looks very nice. Its a sort of combo between front to back and the scissortwirl i guess. Maby this should be the scissor front to back or summin...
Very nice none the less

Been working on it all day now, the finger positions make it just as hard as it looks but I'm getting the hang of it.. you'll be sure to see this trick in my next contest entry

Do you just let the chip fall back into place pretty much or do you put it back, I can only get it to fall back into place...

I'm having the same problem. I can only get it to fall into place but then it's too loose between my fingers to keep going and when I pull the outer chip up onto my middle finger, the two chips remaining fall over. Sometimes I can do the trick twice but never more than that.

Yeah the Nevada Jacks are great for tricks. I also have some 13.5 Double Suited chips and I prefer the NJs. They have a better feel and the textured surface seems to give me more control in some tricks. I don't find anything bad about them trickwise.
Scooter,
At the end of the trick I use the side of my index finger and the back of my thumbnail to hold the chip horizontal, then I lower my thumb to let the chip fall into place.
Check out this video, its an easier way to do the fall at the end that I used when I was getting the trick, by holding the chip between the middle and index fingers and pushing it down into place with the thumb.

Oh if you're talking about doing the trick repeatedly, I usually have to push all the chips back and then adjust it a little. If you watch the original video again you'll see that it isn't too fluid between the 1st and 2nd time, since I have to adjust it back to the original position. Not sure how to improve on that.

Learned it in 30 seconds..
I already do a variation of that one though.. If I had a camera I would post it, but unfortunately you will just have to take my word for it..

Of course.
The trick is the same all the way through except at the very end.
When he grabs the chip between his thumb and pointer finger, He then sets it on his middle finger, and then lets in roll down back into place. He does this on the last video he posted.
What I do is when I grab it with my thumb and pointer finger, I set it on my middle finger, much like zero does, but then my thumb slides to the top of the chip, the EXACT same way you hold it when you start the trick.
I then give it one more spin with my pointing finger before letting it drop down back into place. It makes for a smoother transition back to the original spot, and adds a nice flare on the end.
I wish I could describe it better, but anyone practicing the trick i'm sure will know what I'm talking about.
