Un-focus Dust |
|
Someone told me they were at a poker game where someone was caught cheating. Marking cards with dust, which you can see only when you unfocus your eyes.
I've never heard of such stuff.
Can anyone advise if this stuff exists, cuz I don't believe this guy for some reason.

Yes, such marking methods really exist. I think that expertmagician could tell you more. For instance the "juice" method works on the same principle of unfocusing your eyes to see the marks.

by dust do you mean, REAL dust, like the kind you find under your bed, or on your svengali deck?
If thats the case, I dont think you could catch someone doing that... cuz ahh, I wouldnt even think about doin this, but Definetly get expert up in here! He's the all knowing all powerful markist.

The person using the Juice Dust must have been very sloppy applying it since Juice Dust is the most deceptive marking technique available today. 200 Motels, I am sure there is more to the story than what you heard
When people learn to use Juice Dust, they should start by marking cards in the privacy of their own home and switch decks. They can even re-seal the deck so it looks like it was unopened. Switching a deck BEFORE anyone thinks you starting doing your magic is always very effective.
As the person learns to read Juice and how to mark cards quickly (with just a fast touch/rub with their finger)....only then should they start marking a borrowed deck in public, while people are watching. Practicing natural hand actions in front of a mirror or video tape is also very useful in perfecting smooth hand actions.
Marking a card can also be done by applying the Juice Dust with one hand, quickly and easily, by touching the card with a little pressure in a strategic location.
In the old days the only way to mark a borrowed deck was to "nail nick", "wave" or better yet use a daub, which is a paste like substance. Daubs tend to dull the finish of the cards because of the paste like texture. Juice Dust will never dull cards and there are versions of Juice Dust which work on both paper and/or most 100% plastic cards.
You can see Juice Dust demoed on www.marked-cards.com
By the way, "unfocusing your eyes" does not mean crossing your eyes or squinting as shown in the movie "Shade". You need to practice other methods to unfocus your eyes "at will".
