Invisible Thread |
|
Hey everyone. I'm recently looking to purchase some invisible thread, but there's so many different kinds out there on the market. I've looked on Ellusionist and Penguin Magic. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on which type to get. Thanks.

I'd go with Penguin Magic because it is cheaper and free shipping, but that is just my personal choice. I have a good respect for Ellusionist, and really like many of their products but I'd have to go with Penguin on this one.
Im assuming you saw both...

Both are non-stripped but look at Penguin's price difference. From the picture they appear to be the same. Both have free shipping at the time I post this.
But seriously consider buying invisible thread...is it really worth it? Many people no about it, and those who arent are greatly suspicious and might mess up your trick while watching it. My advice would be to spend your money elsewhere.

Yah, they're both the same...unless just the picture is the same. Going with marp, I dont' think the thread is really a good idea. No matter how "invisible" it is, people still guess its string, because I guess its been overdone.
But I woudn't know too much. I only flourish nowadays.

Yeah, you're right about it being overdone and how people are suspicious. I think I'm going to reconsider the thread. Is there any other effect that you guys would recommend?

Well you saw my color monte vid. That is a awesome, powerful, visual effect for all. It is amazing to do live, because it hits the spectator like a ton of bricks. They have NO CLUE about the climax and it basically blindsides them. I HIGHLY recommend it. Its only four dollars, and it can be found at penguin magic, with free shipping. Definitely go with that...it takes some practice but once you get it down it is a great trick to have in your arsenal.

The price is unmatched and the reactions are priceless.

I have to agree with Baz on this one, invisible thread is underrated, there are a ton of things you can use it for. The issue is largely how you go about presenting it and what effect you use. Jay Sankey has a great effect using it in his Secret Files DVD set where, because of the presentation you would really have a hard time guessing it is invisible thread. There's also no real substitute for levitating something. Another example is the self-folding bill trick, the list goes on.

I'm pretty sure that all of the forums that have been locked have been the result of Cardcontroller's antagonizing. Cardcontroller, stop picking fights with everyone in the forum. Someone asks for help, and you go into the forum and call them an idiot, dumbass, etc. If you're not going to offer any help, don't fu*cking say anything.

I think even I would have made a similar comment to ihover.

Even if he REALLY did think you meant an invisible thread as in posting a new thread in a forum.. no need to call it gay or further even say that you have no life.
Infact, if it really wasn't a joke then he really really lacks common sense and the ability to read your post FIRST before posting a comment that its about a literal invisible post.

Whats so bad being on this forum all day?? (God knows I am )
But anyway, why does everyone always (well nearly always) end a topic with burning down someone?? Personal Opinion: Make Hands, Not War!
