The Spinning Switch Poker Card TrickBLaZE does a nice job illustrating this trick in the video on the right. The tutorial at the end of the video shows things from his perspective and it makes a big difference in understanding the trick. The Spinning Card Switch is a nifty way to make a card disappear. The audience sees a card shown to them as it is then set in motion spinning. One of the secrets is that the performer is actually holding multiple cards even though it just looks like one card to the audience. The cards are spun clockwise with the right hand and counterclockwise with the left. Early on in the trick the card that is first shown to the audience is hidden down the right hand towards the wrist. Once the rotation continues the audience sees that the visible card is not the first one they saw and they think the first card vanished into thin air. Be sure to check out the video by BLaZE on the left. It is one thing to describe the card trick verbally and still another to see it in action. |
