When going away to school, I remember decorating my dorm room in college. I had a nice sports car poster on the wall which made the room look cool.

One of the nice things about going to college is having a room that isn't under the authority of your parents. This is often the time when kids experiment with different posters that wouldn't be seen in their room at home.

College is a time when people tend to be more on the left but as time goes by these same people may be more on the right later in life. Some of the posters in the rooms of students reflects this liberal point of view.

One of the most popular posters for male college students is the one showing different sports cars. The name of the print is "Justification for Higher Education" I've always been fascinated with sports cars. As a kid I loved collecting hot wheels but as I got older I wanted a car that was more practical. My brother however stuck with the sports car theme and recently bought a Porsche Boxter-S.

Another college school poster that is popular in dorm rooms for guys is The Kiss. Another Kiss poster that is fairly popular is the infamous kiss between Madonna and Britney Spears.

Jessica Simpson is another pouplar poster. I remember seeing her perform at an Oracle conference in San Diego. At that time Jessica Simpson was a few pounds heavier and she wasn't as trim as the Jessica Simpson of today. The funny thing is they say tv puts a few pounds on you but she looks thinner on her newlywed reality show.

School posters for the ladies circles around Johnny Depp. Pirates of the Caribbean was a good film for him but he's been a big name for years. Everyone loved his character in Edward Scissorhands.

Door posters are always an interesting option. When we were kids my next door neighbor, Steve Acosta, had a poster of Loni Anderson on his door. It was in a strategic location in that it was only visible when the door was shut. Everybody worshipped Loni when she was on WKRP in Cincinnati.

Back to School Posters are somewhat similar to Back to School Clothes in that you look for certain things at the end of the summer going into the fall. Obviously posters and clothes are purchases at other times of the year as well but there is something different about posters in the back to school posters mode and clothes in the back to school clothes mode.

Many times students get somewhat depressed as the summer comes to an end and they have to go about being a responsible student again. Buying back to school posters and back to school clothes is a way to stay upbeat and keep a good attitude about things.

Movie prints always seem to be popular for kids. Whether they are classic movie posters like Scarface, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter or what's hot recently, kids seem to get a kick out of movie posters.

Musician posters are also big for young people. In my college dorm there were posters of the Doors and all kinds of other bands on my floor.
