    Great Chips
    by themathminister @ 14, Nov 2007

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 5/5

If you're not willing/able to pay $1 a chip for a set of real composite clay compression molding, these are the way to go. These chips are now offered in 8 colors, and feel and sound amazing. I like the colors of the nexgens better, but thats not as important imo. The nexgens feel more plasticy. The pro clays feel like real clay chips. Also, if you're going to buy these chips, go to discountcasinogear.com. They have the CHEAPEST prices. Much lower than wedoitallvegas.com. And the customer service at discountcasinogear is amazing. That's where i bought my 1000 piece set. One last thought, people have noted that 20 chips dont fit in an acrylic rack. Go to casinodiscountsupplies and buy the heavy weight chip racks. They fit 20 of the pro clays perfectly. You will not be disappointed with these chips.

I have 8 colours of these Chips
    by Chisasibi @ 09, Oct 2007

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 5/5 Quality: 5/5

I bought my 1st 500 of these cips from a website...I ordered 5 colours...white, red, green, blue, and black. The seller somehow sent me the set without the black chips. A few months ago I found the other coloured(Black, pink, yellow, and grey) chips on ebay and bought them right away. They are actually the best sounding, stacking, and feeling chips around I really like the way they look also. When I have a game at my house every player is playing with their chips and it sounds so good. They don't even tip over when being pushed to the pot even at a 20 chips stack. I have ordered many sample sets and played in many different home games and I can't stand the other's fancy looking chips tumbleing when being stacked to as low as 10 chips. The only thing I didn't like about these chips is when they're new they don't shuffle as well as they do now.

    Better than nexgens
    by Vince @ 30, Jun 2006

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 5/5 Quality: 5/5

I have received samples of these chips, nexgens, and the 14 gram tri colored chips. I am impressed with these chips. The most important thing im looking for in my new chips is their feel and sound. These have a more chalky feel to them (which i like and provides less slipage when stacking) and i love their sound. These chips have a cling sound to them but not one that sounds like a cheap 11.5g metal insert cheap chip. It is more like a paulson sound. The only downside of these chips is their color variety. They only have a 5 color selection, which is fine for me cause they have the 4 colors im looking for, and you shouldn't need more than 5 colors anyways. Also, I have no proof of this, but I can see these chips edges kind of chipping after a while. Still they are better than any other mid-quality poker chip.

    Good Chips

Similar to Nexgen, just stack better and don't look quite as nice.

    Great Chips!
    by Dianeps @ 30, Jan 2006

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 5/5 Quality: 5/5

We just got our chips today and are very happy with the quality, feel, sound, and look of the chips! We ordered the 1000pc set in the acrylic case. The only problem is that you can't fit 20 whites in one row in the trays, but you can fit 20 of the other colors in one row. The chips feel nice and I like the sound they make. At first I wasn't too sure about the colors when I saw them online but in person I think they look really good. I like how they say casino on them; it reminds me of real casino chips. We bought our chips on ebay for $225 with shipping it was the best deal I found. Overall we are very happy with these chips.

    Great feel, poor color selection
    by dnawilly @ 20, Jan 2006

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 3/5 Quality: 5/5

Got some samples of these, and was very pleased with the overall feel - they have a softness to them, almost a chalkiness, that made them feel the best of any of the lower-priced sample chips I ordered (I couldn't make up my mind if they felt better, or just as good as, the more expensive Neophyte samples I got from Sidepot). These chips stack well, with very little slippage. They have a smoother surface than some of the other NexGen chips I ordered, and have a nice, simple color scheme. My only complaint was the lack of color choice - only five available colors (White, Red, Green, Blue, and Black), and I was specifically looking to get some more unique colors for my next set. If they had these chips in yellow or purple or orange, I would be getting these chips, but instead I decided on NexGen series 1 chips.

Best of the Metal Insert Chips
    by checkm8r @ 17, Dec 2005

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 3/5

I ordered several samples of both the Nexgen and Pro Clay chips as part of my search for the best low-cost chip to support multi-table tournaments. Both are great low-cost, entry-level chips, and both are much better quality than the typical dice-style ABS plastic with metal insert. I'd rate the Pro Clay chips slightly higher than the Nexgens based on the samples I have. Both chips have metal inserts, which is a minus. The Pro Clays, however, are a little better at masking the metalic sound than the Nexgens. They are a little heavier, which may be the reason for this. The Pro Clays are also a little softer and thus feel better than the Nexgens. The material is somewhat like a hockey puck vice harder plastic as found in the Nexgens. The Pro Clays also stack better and are less slippery than the Nexgens. The only advantage that the Nexgens have over the Pro Clays that I can see are the Nexgens come in more colors. I don't find this a show-stopper as you really only need 3 or at most 4 colors for a single game. I'd rate these as the best low-cost chip followed closely by the Nexgen, but I think consideration should also be given to All-in Chips if you can spend a little more.

    I Like Mine
    by Tiny @ 28, Aug 2005

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 5/5 Quality: 5/5

Great feel and sound. I like the understated color scheme. Nothing worse to me than to see a chip and hardly be able to tell it's base color due to the wide and varied-colored edge spots dominating the chip.

    The Stackable Chip
    by AllinMan @ 27, Aug 2005

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 5/5

No doubt, it is the best value line chip on the market!!!Great texture, very good sound, excellent colors, not too busy. I could do without the embossed "CASINO". Could do without the pink edge on the black chip, the pink gets dirty from the black. White chip might tend to become dirty easily. Pokerchest.com has them now for about $0.24 each and that includes shipping. Dont waste your money on Dice, Crowns, or any of the other "clack, clack" soundind chip...

    Great feeling chips
    by stinger11723 @ 05, Aug 2005

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 5/5

Just got 10 samples of these in the same color as the picture used. These chips feel and sound great and they stack really well. They aren't very sharp on the edges so they don't stand up very well at all. This shouldn't bother anyone who wants them strictly for playing poker. I just can't get over the feel and sound!! I haven't tried a whole lot of other chips, but IMO, you just can't beat these chips!! The feel is just amazing!! Put some custom labels on these and your buddies might have chip envy. I only say might because there are better, more expensive chips out there.

    Could be better!
    by Lucky Luciano @ 02, Aug 2005

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 4/5

Certainly a better chip than standard 11.5 gram "Dice, Suit..." chips. Still, these 13.5 gram chips lack in quality and thickness and there are better chips out there for the same price like Nexgen's and 14 gram Tri-Color Suited (these are a little over weighted)...Nice chips and certainly a step up for "Dice, Suited..." chips owners!

    PRo Clay first glance
    by 99%Evil @ 11, May 2005

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 5/5 Quality: 4/5

Forgot to mention, they stack very well. YOu can stack 25 high and bump them and they won't go over. If you stack them higher than 30 high they start to wobble (the three color stripes are a bit thicker) but won't slide still. YOu can hold a stack of thirty chips between your forefinger and thumb and there's no chance of them exploding out of your grip. The greater thickness is negligable as other posts have stated.

    Pro Caly Casinos, first glance
    by 99%evil @ 11, May 2005

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 5/5 Quality: 3/5

Just got them today, feel much better than a 11.5 ABS chip. Nicer texture, sound is much closer to real thing. They're a bit grippier and are bit more difficult to shuffle, but this will change as I get used to them (can do the dutch boyd thing easy enough). Don't really care for the way you can tell they were molded, you can easily see a lip around the edge (with some usage it will probably go away). I like the weight, nice and solid. Colors are good and I definitely want to label them(perfect recess to apply custom labels)labels should dress up the plainness. Got them from We Do It All Vegas, they came in less than a week no problems. Definitely a better chip than the dice chips everyone has seen.

Do not Fit In Standard Chip Racks
    by Chips @ 29, Apr 2005

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 2/5

These chips do not fit into standard 100 pc acrylic chip racks, which to me, is a manufacuring flaw. I can only fit 19 (and not 20) per row. They feel great, but the size is not standard and that is a major downside.

    wedoitallvegas.com
    by CoolWing @ 27, Apr 2005

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 4/5

I've recently purchased some chips from wedoitallvegas.com This retailler is one of the best I've found online, after extensive research. Their chips, even the composite chips, aren't the cheap ones (in reference to chips coming out of third world countries using child labor and produced to imitate). The customer service was awesome and they even accomidated my wanting less then 50 of any color when I ordered my "second set" of chips from them. The Hold'em tip cards were nice surprise, but the best thing, check out the shipping price of others before you knock wedoitall... you'll be surprised. Also, no damage in shipping and their UPS tracking number actually worked, unlike some other sites. Everything arrived on time and undamaged.

    Great Chips for the price
by GOD OF WAR @ 29, Mar 2005

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 4/5

I just ordered these chips offline. I bought them because i wanted an inexpensive set of chips, but i did not like the Dice ABS chips that every place in the world seems to be selling now. I picked them for $110 with S/H which i thought was a great deal, i've seen them much higher on some poker sites. These chips have a nice heavy feel to them, and have a softer clay feel to them. They really stack well they don not slide all over the place like some of those 11.5g chips. They have a nice deep sound to them also. And the colors are nice...it sets them apart from other chips on the market. Short of spending 200-300 for a set of chips i think these might be the best out there. The one con: these chips make it SLIGHTLY harder to do chip tricks with.

    not just a composite
    by marpenothi @ 07, Mar 2005

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 5/5 Quality: 4/5

Though these chips are real clay, they are truly amazing chips. These are not even close you your usual composite, metal insert chips. These have a very clay like feel and sound. I would definitely recommend these. A little more expensive, but well worth it

    I like them!
    by Ranger76 @ 18, Feb 2005

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 5/5 Quality: 5/5

I own these chips and I like them quite a bit. They do have a nice feel and are nice and heavy as well. The colors on them are pretty nice. I also have a set of dice chips and the weight and feel on these is quite a bit better. I've played with a lot of other chips in home games as well and the 13G Casino Chips are probably the best value around. There are nicer chips, but they cost a hell of a lot more. Anyway, give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

    good chips
    by n/a @ 30, Jan 2005

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 5/5

i bought these chips off an ebay seller and i'm definately happy with them. they feel and sound very good, read the other reviews, they're right about the sound and feel. the thing to keep in mind is that these chips are softer than most, and so they scratch easily, you can do it with a fingernail. other than that these chips are wider and so they are a tighter fit in most cases, nothing major, just something to keep in mind maybe

    Best Chips
    by Pete @ 22, Jan 2005

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 5/5 Quality: 5/5

Received my chips recently and I agree completely with the review below; I love these chips: "If you've played the 11.5 chips with the dice or suit designs on them, then you are familiar with chips that clank. It's a distinctive metallic sound that I personally don't care for. If you have played in the casinos, you've played with chips that clack, and you know the difference. You can buy those "clack" chips, but it'll be expensive. This is the alternative. This is as close as you can get to the look and feel of Vegas casino chips without the huge investment. They are heavy. They have the solid sound to them unlike the other plastic "clay" chips (the clankers). Their best feature is their surface, which isn't really addressed in the reviews. They have a velvety feel to them unlike the clank chips. They stack easily. The negatives: I didn't like having CASINO stamped on them, but I got over it. I also wish they offered more than five colors."

    Best feel- Hands down
    by JohnCass @ 10, Dec 2004

Outside of buying chips from Paulson, the 13g chips have the best feel out of any chip on the market. The added weight is a bonus as well.

    Part II of below review
    by Andrew @ 30, Nov 2004

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 4/5

I ran out of space and didn't add that the picture above does absolutely no justice to the chip. It's a deep red with grey edge spots. The picture makes it seem a brick red color but I'd say it's closer to scarlet. I like the colors a lot; they just need more variety.

    We Do It All Vegas
    by wedoitallvegas @ 26, Oct 2004

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 3/5 Quality: 4/5

Your catagorization of the pricing of We Do It All Vegas was unfair at best. Our price on these chips is the exact same price as one of the sites you mentioned and quite a bit lower than the other. Our poker chip sets (including these chips in our different cases) are quite a bit LOWER than the 2 sites. Our chip sets also include a Texas Holdem Strategy Card unlike any other. Just another value we offer. Not only does We Do It All Vegas go that extra step for our customers, we take pride in the value we are able to offer them as well. On ANY individual chip we may be higher or lower than some in price. It is difficult to track the hundreds of sellers out there. I leave it to them to try and compete with our service and the added benefitw we provide our customers.

Am surprised that Wedoitallvegas was a recommended site for the 13Gram 'Casino' chip. Nevadajacks.com and Gamblinghabit.com both have these chips at much better prices.

Editor's Note: WeDoItAllVegas may not have the cheapest prices for this chip but their customer service is unbeatable. Also, they have a wide selection of chips and accessories.

    13.5 Imports
    by None @ 15, Oct 2004

    Price: 4/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 4/5

I bought a set of 13.5 striped suited sight unseen. I have an old set of solid clay chip I like but they break when dropped. These new chips have a great tactile feel and little bounce. I prefer the plain chip for a more clasic look. Would like this chip better if it didn't have CASINO stamped in it and was just plain.

    Sweet chips
    by Snowman @ 13, Oct 2004

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 5/5 Quality: 5/5

Having experienced the 11.5g "Dice" chips in a few games I knew if I was going to spend the money I wanted something as close to the real chips as possible. After shopping around for types and pricing, I decided on thses chips. Bought them on Ebay, 500 for $99 + 24.99 s/h. Recieved them today, and I have to say I am VERY pleased! They are a bit heavier than real casino chips but they feel the same, sound the same and slide onto the table with a flick of the wrist just like the real ones do. I cannot describe how much the texture resembles the real thing...again VERY pleased.

    Pretty nice
    by Sergio @ 09, Oct 2004

    Price: 5/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 4/5

After much searching and review, I decided to buy the 13g Casino chips. I wanted something cheap, but didn't want to feel like I needed to upgrade right away to be happy. I could not be more pleased with these chips. They feel great, soft and not at all plasticy like the other composites. The simple look is also very nice, although some injection dimples on the white chips had little pieces that needed to be knocked off with a fingernail. Love the heavy feel of these chips, you know you got a stack when you pick them up or push them in. Quality is about what I expected from a mass produced Chinese product, fairly nice and consistent, but not a perfect finish like some other chips made from the more plasticy resins. They stack wonderfully, and don't slide when bumped like other composites. For the extra 40-50 bucks, you'd be a fool to not consider these chips over the others. Money well spent...

    13 gram poker chip
    by Chad @ 30, Sep 2004

    Price: 3/5 Appearance: 3/5 Quality: 4/5

These are definitely the heaviest poker chips I have felt. They feel good, look kind of plain, but they sound good. A little more expensive than the 11.5 gram and lighter chips. Still trying to figure out if they are worth it though.

A buddy of mine bought a 13.5 gram poker chip set from pokerbargins.com but I felt they were a bit heavy to do my tricks with. I dont think many casinos go up that high in weight for there casino chips. I got a 10.5 gram chip set for myself and 11.5 gram chip set for my dad for his friends. Comparing the two, I definitely like the 10.5 clay chips to the composite. Look and feel, feels like the my vegas casino chips except with the center design of course. you can check it out at http://www.discountpokershop.com is where I bought mine

Upon recieving my samples of these (5 of them) The first thing I noticed was the stack and shuffle really well. The next thing I noticed was the irregularity of the printing which varies greatly between chips. I kind of liked it because I like the uniqueness. My wife on the other hand likes sharp lines and nice patterns. All in all the chip is a good price $150 for a 500 set, it has a nice weight and an absorbing mellow tone, not relective and tinny like 11.5 composite. Just one last thing... These chips can be chipped with the edge of your finger nail, and you can create lighter score lines across the surface by dragging you nail.. So If you plan to play rough with them or drop the they will get marked up. I still thing that they are great...

    13g "Casino" chips
    by CLM @ 06, Sep 2004

    Price: 3/5 Appearance: 4/5 Quality: 4/5

These chips are higher quality than the composite 11.5g's, but don't be fooled by the name. These are not like real casino chips, which are usually around 10g and much more expensive. These chips are pretty heavy and have a nice, solid feel. They would look great with denominations. If you are looking for a higher quality chip with good feel, these are a good choice.

13 Gram Clay Casino Chips Review

These 13 gram clay chips have a nice feel to them. Unlike some composite chips, they aren't slippery. Also, they have a soft sound like the chips in casinos. The difference in weight between these and the 11.5 gram chips isn't much. These chips are a little bit more expensive than some of the 11.5 gram chips but the difference is worth it if you use them a lot. These are among my favorite composite chips.

Our thoughts on the 13 Gram Clay Casino Poker Chips

In our Composite Versus Clay thread tizim talks about clay versus composite. Here is what he says:
I've heard people on this forum say that composite/clay composite is the same thing, and that there is only 1 kind of dice, suit, etc. style of chips. But, if you look on pokernstuff.com, they list 2 different type of chips: ABS composite chips, and clay composite chips.

I ordered samples of these chips, and I must say, they are completely different. The ABS composite chips are, as often described here, smooth like dominos, have a high pitched twang when dropped, and bounce a lot. The clay composite chips have a tacky feel to them, and when dropped, produce a low pitched sound and dont bounce much. But, I ordered the dice ones, and the design on the clay composite 11.5 grams are of poor quality compared the the ABS composite ones (the stripes are inconsistent and misshaped).

It is true that these 13 gram clay chips have a different sound than the 11.5 gram composite chips. The composiste chips have a high pitched metallic sound but the 13 gram clay chips are not as loud. For many home games either version would work but the clay chips are nicer.

These 13 gram chips have a great feel to them, they are among the heaviest chips available on the market. These chips have the quality and feel of authentic casino poker chips used at the most famous casino resorts around the world, such as the Mirage and Bellagio Resorts. These chips have the soft feel of a clay surface which makes them among the most authentic poker chip available on the home gaming market. They are crafted of a solid clay, with an inconspicuous metal insert allowing hot stamping for these excellent chips. These exclusive chips were created by the use of the latest technology to produce the heavy weight combined with the real sound and feel of an actual Casino chip. It is very difficult to tell that these chips have an insert - they sound that great.
