Based somewhat on what I read here as
well as other sources I decided to order
up a set of these and give them a spin.
The weight to them is definitely nice,
the clank of them slapping together is
pretty good, the feel is also nice.
One thing to note about this particular
review is I have never handled any of
the $1/chip brands. I have some samples
of those coming so we'll have to see
how I feel they compare at that point.
Right now everyone that plays with these
really likes them and a number of people
have asked where they could get a set.
I admit they look somewhat
plain...we'll see which look I actually
prefer when I have others side-by-side.
Right now the plain serves well for our
purposes to be able to set different
values at different matches.
www.pokershopping.com was the best price
I found on them about two weeks ago when
I ordered.

I just used the 21ace promo (see above)
for pokershopping.com. 20% off! I paid
145, shipped, for a 1000 pc set.
EBAY: cheapest I've found for a 500 set
of these: 120-125 w/ shipping.
Online retailers: Same going price as
well. Running an average of about
24-26c per chip.
Pokershopping.com has a 1000 piece set
(2x500) w/ 2 dealer buttons, 4 packs of
WPT cards, 2 cases, 10 dice, etc for
$159. 20% off = $127.20. + ~$18
shipping = $145 shipped. This ends up
being 14.5c per chip (nearly 50% off
than what you can get off of ebay or
other online retailers!).
As for the chips, I haven't received
them yet. But, a friend has the 13.5g
diced set. The look, sound and feel of
them are definately better than the
11.5g sets. I liked the double suit
design. The design takes you away from
a plain chip look but isn't too busy
either.
Just passing along info on this deal.
If you do as I did and go in w/ a
friend, you just paid 73 bucks for a
nice 500pc set.

How can u tell before u buy the chips
whether they are genuine clay chips or
the fake composite that feels slippery?
for instance...what is the expected
price of a 500 chip set of 13.5g clay
chips +aluminum case...and i'm talking
about the genuine clay.

Our thoughts on the 13.5 Gram Clay Composite Double Suited Poker Chips
These chips are outstanding. The surface is not slippery like with the plain composites. Also, they do not make the loud clanking sound. The weight is nice and heavy. When performing poker chip tricks you can clearly feel the difference between these 13.5 gram chips and the more standard 11.5 gram chips. I like the extra weight on these.
Here is what PokerShopping says about these chips:
A beautiful set of 50pc 13.5 gram heavy weighted Double Suit clay poker chips made of high quality clay composite material. These chips are the heaviest chips available on the market and have the ultimate touch and feel with the perfect sound that will really impress your friends! The ideal poker chips for your home poker game or your poker chip collection.
These casino sized chips (39 mm diameter) are blank with no printed value and you can choose among the following 5 colors:
WHITE (commonly used as $1)
RED (commonly used as $5)
BLUE (commonly used as $10)
GREEN (commonly used as $25)
BLACK (commonly used as $100)
An advantage of using chips with no printed value is that you can assign the value you prefer to different colors.
Top seller among our poker chips!
Price Comparisons for 13.5 Gram Clay Composite Double Suited Poker Chips
Last time I checked, these 13.5 Gram Clay Composite Double Suited Poker Chips were available in sets of 500 for under $120. That comes out to about 24 cents per chip.
13.5 Gram Clay Composite Double Suited Poker Chips Appearance
The appearance of these chips is good. The rim is 4 suited.
Seeing the club, diamond, heart and spade on the rim is somewhat standard
for certain designs.
They don't try to get too crazy but they do
a nice job of displaying each of the 4 suits on the rim.
13.5 Gram Clay Composite Double Suited Poker Chips Quality
13.5 grams is somewhat heavy for poker chips in home games. I like the heavy, solid feel of these chips but other people might prefer something a little bit lighter. The surface is just right, not too smooth the way other chips are. The noise on these is good. The clay like surface softens the sound when the chips are banged together.
