These historic Thunderbird poker chips are among the most expensive chips I've ever seen. The appearance on these chips is excellent, it is like having a piece of Las Vegas history on every chip. The quality is good, they have a nice clay-like feel to them.

These poker chips are part of the history of Las Vegas. They are expensive but they are also special. The feel is rough like clay and the design is well done

September 2, 1948 - The Thunderbird opened with 76 rooms. It was the fourth hotel/casino resort opened with the phone number 5100. This was the same year that McCarran Airport opened an adobe styled terminal four miles south of the Flamingo. This was also the last major resort to open on the Los Angeles Highway in the 1940s.

Now you can own a piece of history with these commemorative Thunderbird Casino chips. Each chip weighs 9.5 gm and has a satin like finish on the picture. The picture is on both sides of the chip. These chips are very detailed, they even show the years the Thunderbird Hotel and Casino was a part of Las Vegas (1948 to 1977).

These chips are nice and rough which makes them feel like clay. The detail of the Thunderbird Hotel and Casino image is excellent. The 9.5g weight is a little light for my taste but some people actually prefer that weight.
