Best chips ever!

Like most other poker players, my first
set of chips were the cheap composite,
metal-center chips that don't stack to
save your life. After a while, I wanted
a better set, so I looked on eBay for
"real clay" chips, and ended up
getting another piece of crap set. I
finally decided that the next set I
bought would be a nice, expensive set.
I spent a lot of time ordering samples
of the best chips out there, and finally
went with a set of Paulson James Bonds.
I can say without a doubt that these
were the best chips of all the samples I
ordered, and now that I have a full set,
I do not regret it at all. I bought a
300-chip set from Spinettis. They have
great deals on these chips if you buy a
set with a case and use the "21Ace"
coupon code (you can choose the chip
breakdown). I ended up spending less
than $1 per chip. They look great,
sound great, stack great, and play
great. What more could you ask for?

I just picked up a 600 piece set of
these and I'm very pleased with them
from all aspects (looks, feel, sound,
stacking). I had ordered samples of
these as well as the Paulson Pharaohs.
I picked the JB 2005s over the Pharaohs
as I like their label design better. I
didn't notice any difference in the
other areas (feel/sound/stacking).
Acquired 150 White, 150 Red, 150 Green,
100 Black, 50 Purple. Will probably go
back and get 50 more Red, 50 more Green,
and perhaps 25 Yellow.

Just got my secound set of ten jb's,
first 10x500s now 10x100s. And they are
way awesome. They stack well, they sound
good, and are very grippy and nice. The
edges are fairly sharp to begin with, so
they are sort of hard to shuffle at
first, but after an hour or two the
edges are rounded and they shuffle
really well. The texture is kind of rough
around the edges and slippery in the
middle, thus they stack as tall as
you'd want 'em no problem. Like
building forts out of your chips? these
are up for it. Like doing tricks and
stuff with your chips? excellent texture
and perfect weight makes these chips the
only natural choice ;)
They sound awesome too, it's not like
cheap plastics, these really sound like
proper poker chips should sound when
splashed. The only drawback, if you can
call it that, is looks. They don't look
very flash, and not all the inserts are
perfectly centered. The colours can take
time to get used to, but once you are,
you'll never know what you think looked
bad :)

WHat feels EXACTLY the same as a Paulson
Chip... weighs the SAME weight as a
Paulson chip-- looks IDENTICAL to a
Paulson Chip ( except it doesnt say
Paulson).. and is manufactured the SAME
way as a Paulson chip.... and... here's
the good part ... COSTS less then .40
cents ea!!!
Answer: our new Paulson series clones
Our factory finally spent the big bucks
for a compression mold machine--
meaning..
well.. check with Palm Imports from time
to time-- the market is changing
finally-- no longer will you have to
spend a buck for a poker chip thats hi
quality.

Fear not in getting these chips. I have
compared them with most of the other
chips on the market, and in my opinion
nothing is better. I had Nevada Jacks
clays before and was always bothered by
the off centered center labels, and
other inconsistencies. Now, as far as
the controversial matters, namely the
smoothness of the center and the smaller
center graphic, I think it is a question
of taste. Personally, I prefer it. The
smooth center, which includes the center
clay, give a nice contrast from the
outer rim. It is different from any
other clay chip My friends also liked
it. As far as the graphic, the effect is
that you see more of the color of the
chip, as oppossed to a ton of white on
the top. Again, I prefer the look. I
also really like the color scheme, which
is brighter than most. Bottom line, I
love my set of 600 chips, and all of my
friends are jeleous. In fact, they
prefer to come to my house just to use
the chips. They were suprized when I
told them what I paid.

Satisfied with the new James Bond Paulsons

I was seeking chips that look authentic
and have a quality sound and feel to
them. I have not been disappointed with
these. They stack easily, have sharp
edges when brand-new and are well made.
The bright orange $1000 chips were too
bright for me so I settled on ones,
fives and twenty fives. The chips have
sharply defined contrasting colors and a
smallish label with a classy low-key
design. They are traditional looking
chips I suspect will still be very
acceptable after other more modern
designs have become dated.
