Best chips ever!

Like most other poker players, my first
set of chips were the cheap composite,
metal-center chips that don't stack to
save your life. After a while, I wanted
a better set, so I looked on eBay for
"real clay" chips, and ended up
getting another piece of crap set. I
finally decided that the next set I
bought would be a nice, expensive set.
I spent a lot of time ordering samples
of the best chips out there, and finally
went with a set of Paulson James Bonds.
I can say without a doubt that these
were the best chips of all the samples I
ordered, and now that I have a full set,
I do not regret it at all. I bought a
300-chip set from Spinettis. They have
great deals on these chips if you buy a
set with a case and use the "21Ace"
coupon code (you can choose the chip
breakdown). I ended up spending less
than $1 per chip. They look great,
sound great, stack great, and play
great. What more could you ask for?

I just picked up a 600 piece set of
these and I'm very pleased with them
from all aspects (looks, feel, sound,
stacking). I had ordered samples of
these as well as the Paulson Pharaohs.
I picked the JB 2005s over the Pharaohs
as I like their label design better. I
didn't notice any difference in the
other areas (feel/sound/stacking).
Acquired 150 White, 150 Red, 150 Green,
100 Black, 50 Purple. Will probably go
back and get 50 more Red, 50 more Green,
and perhaps 25 Yellow.

Nice JB's

Just got my secound set of ten jb's,
first 10x500s now 10x100s. And they are
way awesome. They stack well, they sound
good, and are very grippy and nice. The
edges are fairly sharp to begin with, so
they are sort of hard to shuffle at
first, but after an hour or two the
edges are rounded and they shuffle
really well. The texture is kind of rough
around the edges and slippery in the
middle, thus they stack as tall as
you'd want 'em no problem. Like
building forts out of your chips? these
are up for it. Like doing tricks and
stuff with your chips? excellent texture
and perfect weight makes these chips the
only natural choice ;)
They sound awesome too, it's not like
cheap plastics, these really sound like
proper poker chips should sound when
splashed. The only drawback, if you can
call it that, is looks. They don't look
very flash, and not all the inserts are
perfectly centered. The colours can take
time to get used to, but once you are,
you'll never know what you think looked
bad :)

Paulson Home Chips

Fear not in getting these chips. I have
compared them with most of the other
chips on the market, and in my opinion
nothing is better. I had Nevada Jacks
clays before and was always bothered by
the off centered center labels, and
other inconsistencies. Now, as far as
the controversial matters, namely the
smoothness of the center and the smaller
center graphic, I think it is a question
of taste. Personally, I prefer it. The
smooth center, which includes the center
clay, give a nice contrast from the
outer rim. It is different from any
other clay chip My friends also liked
it. As far as the graphic, the effect is
that you see more of the color of the
chip, as oppossed to a ton of white on
the top. Again, I prefer the look. I
also really like the color scheme, which
is brighter than most. Bottom line, I
love my set of 600 chips, and all of my
friends are jeleous. In fact, they
prefer to come to my house just to use
the chips. They were suprized when I
told them what I paid.

Satisfied with the new James Bond Paulsons

I was seeking chips that look authentic
and have a quality sound and feel to
them. I have not been disappointed with
these. They stack easily, have sharp
edges when brand-new and are well made.
The bright orange $1000 chips were too
bright for me so I settled on ones,
fives and twenty fives. The chips have
sharply defined contrasting colors and a
smallish label with a classy low-key
design. They are traditional looking
chips I suspect will still be very
acceptable after other more modern
designs have become dated.

Deakon's thoughts on the James Bond Paulson Poker Chips
As soon as I dumped these chips from their envelope I knew why these chips were so eagerly anticipated. They are stunning, but of course, they are Paulsons.
Price Comparisons for James Bond Paulson Poker Chips
Paulson's are not cheap but the quality is unbeatable. Many people upgrade to Paulson after being unhappy
with the cheaper sets.
James Bond Paulson Poker Chips Appearance described by Deakon
The edge spots on the chips are very well matched with the individual chip base color. The only chip I may not favor too much is the $1000 chip; it seems just a bit brighter in comparison to the other chips. There has been a lot of discussion about the inlay issue; the chip mold is designed for a grand-style inlay, but they chose to use the classic-style. This is overlooked when you actually have the chips in hand.
James Bond Paulson Poker Chips Quality described by Deakon
They are a softer chip when compared to chips like ASM's horse head mold, TR Kings, and most Blue Chip Company chips. The chips feel great and sound even better. There is a deeper pitch in them which is very obvious when stacking other manufacturers' chips. The weight of these chips is between 9.7-9.9 grams.
Paulson Chips in the Marketplace
Paulson Chips are the Rolls Royce of poker chips.
All other poker chips are measured against Paulson poker chips. The name Paulson is
synonymous with quality. The quality comes at a price, Paulson Chips are not cheap
but you get what you pay for. Paulson Chips are good for folks who have
existing poker chips but want to upgrade to the next level. Paulson Chips
are the standard against which all other poker chips are measured.
My Paulson Chips
I've handled Paulson Chips many times in the casinos. For example, Hustler Casino in Los Angeles uses Paulson Chips. Paulson Chips can also be found in MGM or Bally's in Las Vegas. I took home one of these Paulson Chips from Hustler some time ago but it is slightly different from these James Bond Paulson Chips. One of the most noticable differences is that the Hustler Paulson Chips have more hat and canes around the edge than the James Bond Paulson Chips which only have 2.
The Paulson Chips have a clay-like feel and the pictures do not do them justice. I now realize that my next set of chips should be Paulson, they are much better than any other chip in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, the Nevada Jacks chips are nice(and a lot less expensive) but if budget is no object then Paulson Chips are the clear choice.
Beware of immitation Paulson Chips, especially with the James Bond chips. When folks offer Paulson chips be sure to check for the hat and cane around the edge. Each side of these chips has 2 hats and canes and the phrase PAULSON CHIPS in 2 places.
Paulson Chips in Casinos
Many casinos around the world use Paulson Chips. I recently played at Hustler Casino in the Los Angeles
area and they use Paulson Chips. The Paulson Chips at Hustler are different from the James Bond Paulson
Chips in that the Hustler Chips have 8 hats and canes around the edges on each side whereas the James Bond
Paulson Chips only have 2 hats and canes around the edges on each side. I also picked up a Paulson Chip
from the Rio in Las Vegas recently. Like the Hustler Paulson Chip, The Rio Paulson Chip also has
8 hat and canes around the edges on each side.
Our Casino Paulson Chips Page
has pictures of Paulson Chips from various casinos.
Denominations of James Bond Paulson Chips
$ 0.50 James Bond Paulson Chip with a white perimiter and beige and red on the edge of the chip. Other than the label, this Paulson Chip is almost identical to the $ 1 Pharaohs Paulson Chip.
$ 1 James Bond Paulson Chip with a dark blue perimiter and light blue and white on the edge of the chip. Other than the label, this Paulson Chip is almost identical to the $ 0.25 Pharaohs Paulson Chip.
$ 5 James Bond Paulson Chip with a dark red perimiter and light blue and green on the edge of the chip. Other than the label, this Paulson Chip is almost identical to the $5 Pharaohs Paulson Chip.
$ 25 James Bond Paulson Chip with a green perimiter and light green and orange on the edge of the chip. Other than the label, this Paulson Chip is almost identical to the $ 25 Pharaohs Paulson Chip.
$ 100 James Bond Paulson Chip with a black perimiter and light blue and orange on the edge of the chip. Other than the label, this Paulson Chip is almost identical to the $100 Pharaohs Paulson Chip.
$500 James Bond Paulson Chip with a purple perimiter and light green and pink on the edge of the chip. Other than the label, this Paulson Chip is almost identical to the $500 Pharahos Paulson Chip.
$1000 James Bond Paulson Chip with an orange perimiter and red and purple on the edge of the chip. Other than the label, this Paulson Chip is almost identical to the $1000 Pharaohs Paulson Chip.
The James Bond Paulson Chips have been out a lot longer than the Pharaohs Paulson Chips so they are more proven. On the other hand sometimes people like the adventure of going with something new. I like the surface of the James Bond Paulson Chips better than the surface of the Pharaohs Paulson Chips. Maybe it is because I got the James Bond Chips first and I got used to that 3rd type of surface area. It is a subtle difference and many people probably do not pay attention to it.
Why James Bond Paulson Chips are Cool
Everyone knows that Paulson Chips are among the best in the world. They are used by the finest casinos and they are the standard by which other chips are judged. A lot of people like the James Bond movies, he takes chances in and out of casinos and things always seem to go his way. The James Bond Paulson Chips have the Casino De Isthmus on each label. The Casino De Isthmus was the fictional casino in the James Bond movie License to Kill. There are other clay chips out there but none compare to genuine Paulson clay poker chips.
