Perfect chips

It's a crime to get these chips, living in Holland (import rates, shipping rates) I got a hold of a case with 400 chips and iI love them. For homegames these are maybe the best (composite) chips. A couple of friends have 100% clays, but they don't mix well with beer and heavy use. The feel of the Nextgens is great, partly because of the rough edges. The river tour and lucky bees are way more slippery. Also I like the multi colored edge spots. Also great for tricks. Good value for money and the best composites on the market. 1 last thing: They sound great too!

i have been using nexgen for some time now, and they are fantastic they look nice and feel great. so unless you are increddibly rich i would get them.

With some nice labels, these will impress your friends and neighbors. The recesssed center is perfect for them and keeps 'em well protected. I actually sprayed my labels with an acrylic spray per other recommendations.... Had em for several months and holding up well.Only had a couple naysayers play with who said "too heavy" or I prefer ceramic or clay....

I bought these chips, used them once and sent them back. They were not what I expected. I was dissapointed that I had spent so much $ on a chip that was not that much better than the cheapy dice chips. They do look great but are very slick, clanky and scratch immediately.After only one game these chips were scratched up like they had been used for months. My suggestion would be to get samples of any chip you are thinking about buying. It will save you from any dissapointment. Also, I settled on the All-in clay chips for the same price as the nexgen2 and I am finally satisfied.

Nexgen's have many pros, and not many cons. They look great, and have excellent edgespots and molds. The edgespots on these chips look like those you would expect to pay 10 times more for. They are a big bang for your buck. They still have a *small* metallic clank, but not as bad as the 11.5 gram dice chips. Unfortuantely, they are slick and don't stack all that well. They will probably fall over if stacked higher than 25 chips or so and the table gets bumped. They take stickers very well and are an ideal choice if you are looking to customize your chips. These chips are very popular for a reason. If you can't spend $1 per chip and can do better than the 11.5 gram generic chips, give these a shot.

After doing some research on chips my decision came down between the Neophytes and Nexgens. I picked the Nexgens because they seemed to look more like real casino chips like Paulsons. Before buying these chips I had the impression that they would be somewhat comparable to Paulsons, I think that is probably not a good mindset to have because Paulsons ARE the BEST and very few chips can really compare to them. While I cannot say that they have close to the same feel or sound of Paulsons and some of the more expensive chips on the market, for about 1/4 the price, these chips do have a nice feel and sound and are a major upgrade over the majority of chips on the market. For the price, of around 25 cents a chip these are REALLY NICE CHIPS.

Look: This chip has a very clean appearance. Nothing to fancy, no extreme graphical prints of some sort. Just 3 simple stripes and bee engraved in the outer ring of the chip. It does not display the value of the chip but it has a centre which allows labelling. So a very practical chip for home games and tournament poker. Feel: I can’t explain this but if you take hold of this chip it has something that makes you think ‘ahhh that feels nice’. The chip provides enough grip for chip tricks. And lies extremely fine in the hand. Weight: The chip has a very good weight. It is not too heavy but also not to light. So I am happy with the weight of this chip. Sound: The chip has a medium tone ‘clink’ to it which pleases me very much. It is a sound that really belongs to this chip. Any other sound would have been just wrong. Price: One of the upper-class price chips. But it is worth every penny. You get extreme quality and durability with this nice looking chip. Total: A chip where you could instantly fall in love with. It’s good looking has a nice feel to it and lasts a long time. I would recommend this chip anytime.

You won`t regret getting Nexgen's chips...they feel, stack, sound and look GREAT considering their low price. Certainly there are better chips in the market (Paulson's, Nevada Jack's, ChipCo's...), but you require much more money to get them as they are "real" (compression molded/ceramic) Casino chips...In my humble opinion Nexgen's are the best injection molded chip in the market BY FAR...i highly recommend you get them...BUT...i don´t like the "multicolored edge spot" pattern on THESE Nexgen2 series...it's not the classic pattern you see on most true casino chips...i don't like a different color per spot (3 colors, 3 spots is bisarre)...i prefer original Nexgens, River Poker Tour Nexgens and even "Bee" Nexgens edge spot pattern...anyway, appearance is a matter of personal taste...Nexgens are GREAT chip!

The Nexgen 2 poker chips are one of the best chips out there. When I got my set of chips they were great for tricks, had a great feel, and sound. The three colors on the edge of the chip make the chips stand out from any other chip out there. Overall these chips are great especially for the price that you can get them. I would recommend these chips for anyone who is into playing poker for a long time.

I just purchased these on ebay through fivestardeal.com and I am extremely pleased. My previous set was the 9 gram las vegas chips with the vinyl centers and these have a much better "paulson like" feel to them. The edge spots have 3 colors that really stand out well from the rest of the chip. In fact, I immediately thought of the Old James Bond Paulson's when I first saw the chip. There are eight bee's engraved into the edge of the chip as well that give it a very unique feel. The sound is good and the handling is great as well especially for chip tricks, not too tacky not too slippery. The only problem I have is that the Mahogany case that they came with had a broken lock, but that is a very minor issue as it really doesn't affect the way you'd transport the case anyhow.

We ve been printing custom poker chips for years now-- and we are a master distributor for the NEXGEN chips-- and only until recently did we realize-- these chips look GREAT custom printed. The demand has been strong for custom printing these chips-- they have just enough recession to allow for our 10mil vinyl and polycarbonate lamination-- keeping the image flush with the chip to avoid stacking problems. For the money, its one of the best quality chips on the market-- in it's price range. Although the center area at 25.890mm is a bit smaller they we prefer- especially if we need to put a photo into this area-- for logos and custom designs-- the images look great on these chips. We are in the process of getting the LAS VEGAS eliminated by having a custom mold made but the chip quality will remain the same. Joe Daley Palm Imports

These Nexgen2 poker chips are about 26 cents each. There are cheaper 11.5 g plastic composite chips out there but the qaulity on those is not as good as the Nexgen2. The appearance on these chips is fairly simple. The paint is rough giving them a similar appearance to some of the clay-like chips out there. The quality on these is great for the price. They don't feel like the typical metal-insert type chip. The rough edges help set these apart from the cheap plastic 11.5g composites.

Our thoughts on the Nexgen2 Poker Chips

The Nexgen2 chips are a little bit nicer than the regular Nexgen chips which we have reviewed on the Nexgen page. One of the differences between Nexgen2 and Nexgen is that these Nexgen2 chips are more colorful on the edges. The 12g Nexgen2 poker chips have a nice grainy feel on the edges while the center is smooth. Even though these chips have a metal insert, they don't sound that loud when they hit each other because the composite material is different from the typical 11.5g plastic composites.

This tri-colored chip is nice because the design is simple yet it still catches your eye.

Last time I checked, these Nexgen2 Poker Chips were available for about 26 cents per chip, this is a pretty good price.

Nexgen2 Poker Chips Appearance

The Nexgen2 chips look similar to clay-like chips because the paint around the edges is rough and unfinished. Keeping the text simple is part of what makes this chip look good. The edge simply says, "Las Vegas - Nevada USA".

Nexgen2 Poker Chips Quality

I tend to favor the heavier chips so these 12.0 gram chips feel just right to me. These feel different than the cheap plastic 11.5g composite chips. The quality on these chips is good, they are almost as nice as the really expensive chips.
